The service is exceptional, food is incredible. The tortellini, crab cake with lobster sauce (anything with that lobster sauce), and veal dishes were nothing short of fantastic. The brunch here is unreal too. The "lost toast" is one of the best french toast dishes I've had anywhere and the lobster sauce/crab cake eggs benedict... I could survive the remainder of... More

We were in luck...Tuesday is half-price wine night on all bottles. Our server made an excellent suggestion which we enjoyed very much. We had an eggplant dish, which two of us split, and it was more than enough for a satisfying meal when paired with a salad, which we also split. Hey...we even split the bottle of wine!

We ate lunch here during a ski trip in January. The pizza and sausage sub were very good and the service was friendly. The atmosphere was nice and we enjoyed looking at the art work on the walls from the next door studio.

Every year I get to Sugar Mountain to ski 5 or 6 times and each time I go to Sorentos afterward. Food is always good. Classy but not pretentious. Artichoke in lemon sauce appetizer is always great. Chicken Piccata is always good too. Did I mention the bar olives? All good.

I am a local and had not been to sorrentos for several years. On previous visits we found the food and atmosphere to be great , this time it was a huge let down I was actually embarrassed that I recommended it to our friends. The atmosphere is now completely lacking in intimacy or romance , bright over head lighting... More

The food and service was tremendous. Creative menu and our waiter, Isaiah, was excellent and very attentive. The atmosphere was warm and inviting the artwork a pleasure to look at and added to the ambiance of the restaurant. A truly great experience.

Stopped here for a quick lunch since the menu looked good. When the food was brought out the waiter asked how everything was and we said we were missing a pizza we ordered. After being told it would be just a few minutes it finally came out 20 minutes later after the rest of our table had finished eating. At... More

We've been coming to Banner Elk for years and somehow overlooked this spot. When we walked in I was a little taken aback by the iron bistro tables - not very cozy or upscale looking - but they were more comfortable than they appeared, the temperature was cozy and the food was definitely fine dining quality. We had a wonderful... More
