Stopped in for lunch after browsing the Fine Arts Show and Sale across the street.....the food was great! Our service was good as well and the restaurant was packed....their Sunday specials are very popular. We enjoyed our first lunch so much, we went back another day for lunch. Got the Greek Pizza and is could be the best pizza we... More

We had dinner at the Banner Elk Cafe on Saturday August 2. Our server was Elizabeth. I do not think that I have never had a better server in my life. We commented to her that our daughter's name was also Elizabeth and the both talked quietly together. One of our meals was taking longer than Elizabeth liked and she... More

Wonderful for lunch anytime of the year! Summer sitting on the patio is so relaxing. Two wonderful menu selections- food is timely- tasty- and the price it fair. I eat there probably two to three times a week. Great place and you do not have to wonder if they are open! Places in Banner Elk have a habit of closing... More

This restaurant was recommended to us by some people from a nearby antiques shop. Our waiter had just came on his shift and must’ve been busy with other tables on the inside because he was kind of scattered brain with us. It took him some time to remember that I had ordered a Toffee Coffee, but luckily it was brought... More

Fine service, large menu, fairly good food. A great place to go with a group of people who can't decide where to eat or for people who want steak, sandwiches, trout, etc. Very large and good desserts. Good price, good food.

We've been coming to the mtns for five years and tonight was the first time we went to the Banner Elk Cafe. What a wonderful experience. They have several sections, one in the Cafe, one in the Lodge, and then a covered outside area between the two. I had called earlier in the day to alert them that there would... More

Ordered omelette, not made with real eggs, hash browns tasted like the were fried in week old oil. Carpet is old and dirty as are the rest of the furnishings. Ate 2 bites and left the rest.

We had a large party for dinner. The server was very nice but our meals came out at different times and some took forever. The food was good but all in all it took over an hour and half for everyone's meals to arrive.

We have been in the area for 4 months now and have found the food to be consistently good. If we stop by for breakfast, dinner or just a light lunch, we have yet to be disappointed. There are 2 sections to the restaurant, The Cafe and The Lodge( with outdoor seating) .But no matter where you sit,you can order from... We ate here while staying overnight to visit Grandfather Mountain. The food was good. Husband had the trout, quite nice. I had the chicken with crab meat, also nice. But there was nothing really so special about this place. However , in a town this size, I suppose it was beter than most. Staff was courteous and attentive. Extensive menu... More
