Very good place to stop for lunch

My wife, daughter and I stopped here for lunch on a Sunday. Parking can be a little tricky depending on how busy it is. There was a short wait when we first walked in as they were preparing tables for a larger party. Although with how small the building is, I don't know how large they can... read more

Every time we eat here, we are impressed at the menu, the service and the cost. Judging the Banner Elk against it peer restaurant group it always gets a high rating. This weekend we went in about 11:30 am and decided to have breakfast. How could you mess up breakfast? Right? But, you can make it really good. Eggs perfectly... More

Items on salad bar were so cold it hurt my teeth, not to mention some items were frozen. I ordered salmon, it was very dry. Cheese grits did not taste cheesy. My husband ordered BBQ plate and enjoyed the ribs.

This is a great find and a "must visit" if you're in the Banner Elk area. There are actually 3 restaurants all together, so you can order from 3 different menus. It takes a little more time, but it's worth it because there are so many choices and it's part of the experience. The service was outstanding, the food was... More

Just had breakfast here. We had a party of 5 and were taken to a very small 4 top in a corner crowded against the staircase. I asked for the larger table next to us and was told NO. Asked for 2 tables pulled together and was told NO. Was told we could sit outside....where it was 51 degrees. The... More

We arrived in town rather late after a full day drive from Florida and were happily surprised with our meal and the service at this restaurant. The server was friendly and helpful. We ended up ordering two appetizers to share, as well as a vegetable plate, and it was more than enough food for the two of us. The crab... More

Guided by Trip Advisor reviews my sister and I stopped in here for supper. The food was very good, reasonable, and the service was top drawer. The homemade deserts are awesome. I'd say the positive reviews are right on target for this restaurant. I always factor in the 5-10% unfavorable reviews as reflective of the negative people doing reviews and... More

We stopped in for lunch today while visiting the area. One of the specials was Corned Beef & Cabbage. It was terrible! The corned beef was not brisket, but a very thin sliced product that they probably serve on a Reuben. The whole dish also had no flavor. Don't know how you can possibly made bland corned beef and cabbage.... More

If you like to be ignored by the waitstaff then this is your place!! Went in for lunch on an unbusy weekday and was invisible to 3 servers who never caught my eye. One was loudly training another about 6 feet from me and another going over a schedule. Finally got the hostess Hannah to serve me and she was... More

This little cafe is the definition of small town breakfast place and I loved it! The service was so friendly and they make you feel like family! The food is great and they have great portions too. I went for breakfast but may have to go back because I saw some amazing looking deserts! :)
