Great food and Helpful Chef

I grew up near New Orleans and am so happy to have this establishment in our town. The gumbo and shrimp po boy are delicious. In addition, the Chef and General Manager went above and beyond helping this customer out! My car battery died in their parking lot during one of the coldest days of... read more

I grew up near New Orleans and am so happy to have this establishment in our town. The gumbo and shrimp po boy are delicious. In addition, the Chef and General Manager went above and beyond helping this customer out! My car battery died in their parking lot during one of the coldest days of winter. I can't count how many times I've eaten here. The food is always very good! I love the Voodoo pasta. It's got a kick to it, but my five year old loves it too so it's not too spicy. My husband gets the Bayou Cajun Sampler. It has great flavor too! My daughter had the chicken fingers and they were... More

This is a small locally owned establishment that caters to the customer! The menu is varied, but is centered around some of the greatest sandwiches around - the oyster Po boy is my favorite! If you are in Banner Elk, stop in for lunch? If you leave hungry, it's your own fault!

We ate here on our way to beech. We had a party of 5 and everybody enjoyed the food. My wife had the brisket po boy and said it was the best she ever had. I had the Texas burger and it was very good.

Our server was was really friendly and very attentive, the owner visited our table and was a dear. Our order was a bit late coming due to... More

I came up from Wilmington to go skiing in Banner Elk. We decided to come by for lunch and Oh My God!!!! We ordered the french dip sandwich and it was the most delicious I ever had! Micheala served us and was just the sweetest! The food came out fast! Great experience all around!

My boyfriend and I were staying in a nearby B&B so we decided to order take out and eat it there. The woman who took my order was courteous and the food was ready quickly even though it was during dinner rush time (we picked it up 15 minutes after we ordered). We ordered a BBQ platter to share and... More

We went for lunch and was told we'd wait 20 min - more like 35. We finally found some seats at the bar. Beer selection was great! Husband found some new beer to love. The gumbo was "fair" (rating from SIL who's from Louisiana). Burger pretty good - definitely chargrilled, which was a plus. PRO: Store attached to restaurant had... More

We went to this restaurant on a Friday evening for some "good" Louisiana-Texas food and had Ribs and Catfish. The ribs appeared not to be grilled (so is this a "Smokehouse") and appeared to have been boiled/ pressure cooked. The catfish was ok however came "dry" with no Tartar or similar sauce. The sweet potato fries were $1 extra but... More
