Great Cozy atmosphere. Friendly staff and great food. Voodoo pasta! Creole dish with a little bit of everything! Can't go wrong. Make sure order the blackberry cobbler.... WOW! And there was a band on Tuesday night. This is a MUST for lunch or dinner when you are in the area.

We stopped here after a trek to Grandfather Mountain, just for an afternoon snack. We reviewed the menu and decided to come back for dinner. While the Jalapeño Queso we had at our first stop was just okay, dinner was great! I had the Smoked Sausage plate and hubby had the étouffée (crawfish). With my dinner I went truly southern... More

We stopped by on July 4th for drinks and may have ordered food had the service at the bar not been so bad. One bartender, Chris, was pleasant enough when he gave us menus but then totally disappeared. We did see him much later helping a waitress with a heavy tray. The other bartender wouldn't make eye contact and pretty... More

We visited the Bayou while on vacation. Our server Tracey gave us great recommendations and was super sweet. The Texas Brisket Nachos were amazing!!! The band playing outside and the free wine tasting was also a plus! The owner, Winston, was beyond helpful and amazing in helping us find out other things to do around town. We will def be... More

This place is awesome! Give your taste buds a favor and order the chicken fried chicken. Topped with gravy I usually order it with the zucchini fries and mashed potatoes. So delicious! My family has been customers for years and it isn't a complete family vacation without some chicken fried chicken from the bayou!

Excellent service, excellent food, excellent drink selections. The rib eye was cooked to perfection. Tabitha had wonderful recommendations & was our first experience (as a large group) of having the checks accurately split!!

Am I crazy, why do I go these restaurants that are themed after Louisiana and Texas expect to get great New Orleans food? It's silly, you're in the North Carolina mountains. We went here for lunch and I ordered red beans and rice with sausage. They were very average and the sausage was almost non existent. For North Carolina they... More

The menu has a great selection of cajun-style food or barbeque if you prefer... Although there is indoor seating, we chose to sit outside at a table on the lawn because we were able to bring our dog and there was a grassy area for kids to play. The ambiance of this place was so memorable and the food was... More
