Read a few of the negative reviews and don't understand them. I am not from the area but have a vacation home nearby and have eaten at Ray's at least 10 times. Great burgers, super large dinner salads, terrific onion rings, and the specials are usually really good. Soups are homemade and fantastic. Ice cold beer as well. Low prices... More

We had to wait a bit to be seated because the staff was kind of busy. The food was acceptable, not exceptional, but after all it's a bar and grill. Well priced.

Me and a friend decided to cross the border into the United States to try out the Chicken Wings at Ray's Tavern and we were glad we did. The prices are great, the serivice from the waitresses was great and the chicken wings were great. The restaurant itself looks vintage yet has a historic feel to it, the decor is... More

Went for a lenten fish fry. Needed one to take home to hubby but was told that no carry outs allowed. They said they were "slammed" with so many requests they couldn't do it. Never heard of a place turning down business. Place was half empty and didn't see anyone come in to pick up any fish fry while we... More

Dirty, Smelly Dump -TERRIBLE FOOD they got my money for the last time ...They need to learn how to cook, if there was competition they'd be shuttered in a week. Complained and got told "thats too bad" with no offer to rectify it.

I return to Youngstown two times a year. That is in the fall to pick up my parents and in the spring to bring them back. Each time I spend what little time there traveling to my "Go to" places. Ray's is one of them! I get the Beef on Wick every time. The beef is cooked just right, piled... More

Sorry ,never got to actually eat there, had a few drinks and waited and waited. We waited over an hour and three quarters. Never again w/o reservations. Who would've thought a little bar req. reservations. My husband and his friends went on a off night and got right in. My husband had wings and said he'd had better.

Nothing special and our simple order took over 45 minutes to arrive. The best aspect of our meal was the low prices of our food. You get what you pay for, I guess. I wouldn't go back.

In the middle of August I asked for Vegetables for a substitute for Potatoes. I was told todays vegies were string beans. Great I thought. Well I got canned cut string beans. Give me a break, In farm country in august you get canned vegetables. (not uncommon in these parts) What a shame.
