A local rural favorite

We ate there again last night with our friend who was closing up his cottage for the winter. Although we had no reservations, the wait was no more than 30 minutes and that was on one of their busier nights (Friday). We had fish frys and one had breaded scallops. All food was fresh, well prepared... read more

We were camping at Four Mile Creek State Park... we asked for a pub/tavern close by. Ray's was recommended. We made the 1 mile trip down the road and it was a GREAT decision for our vacation. The service was very friendly! It's not a fancy place, but clean and lively. We were originally going to get some wings or... More

This restaurant was recommended by staff at Four Mile Creek State Park. We went on Friday for supper and ordered the fish fry - beer battered fish that was awesome. Good service and good value. We enjoyed very much.

We were in town visiting Niagara sites and were given the recommendation to go here for lunch. The lady who recommended it also said to order the scalloped potatoes. When we ordered, we were told veggies and scalloped potatoes were only served after 4. This was a downfall for us, these things should be served for both lunch and dinner.... More

The foods here are the very best to be found in the area! The soups are phenomenal and the dinners are perfect ! Very friendly owners and waitresses! The cook is the owner and does a fantastic job of keeping the orders coming !!

Have been to this restaurant many times....it is what it is, a local place to get get good food. Certain things will make your experience better, always make a reservation, that will take the anxiety of a long wait out of your visit. It has a small kitchen, and one cook, the owners' wife, who does a great job getting... More

Read a few of the negative reviews and don't understand them. I am not from the area but have a vacation home nearby and have eaten at Ray's at least 10 times. Great burgers, super large dinner salads, terrific onion rings, and the specials are usually really good. Soups are homemade and fantastic. Ice cold beer as well. Low prices... More

We had to wait a bit to be seated because the staff was kind of busy. The food was acceptable, not exceptional, but after all it's a bar and grill. Well priced.

Me and a friend decided to cross the border into the United States to try out the Chicken Wings at Ray's Tavern and we were glad we did. The prices are great, the serivice from the waitresses was great and the chicken wings were great. The restaurant itself looks vintage yet has a historic feel to it, the decor is... More

Went for a lenten fish fry. Needed one to take home to hubby but was told that no carry outs allowed. They said they were "slammed" with so many requests they couldn't do it. Never heard of a place turning down business. Place was half empty and didn't see anyone come in to pick up any fish fry while we... More
