Joshua's is the longest serving restaurant in Woodstock, feeding and delighting patrons with high-quality, healthy, delicious food for 42 years! We strive to use the freshest, locally sourced ingredients we can find. Once a "java lounge", our upstairs dining room and bar offers an airier alternative to our main dining room. We look forward to being of service.

Nice Comfort Food

Ate here recently and enjoyed a quiet dinner. Very quiet. It was Tuesday before Thanksgiving and there were a grand total of 8 diners in the restaurant for the hour or so that we were there. Not sure if this is usual for a Tuesday night, but it was a little unsettling. I am glad we stayed, and... read more

My wife and I have been going to Joshua's since before we were married (39 years ago!). They have always had the best in middle eastern food---always felafel, zucchini flat cakes, baba ganoush and the like. Very authentic, very delicious. Prices are not out of line. The atmosphere is wonderful.

This was our best choice for lunch in Woodstock. Great soup, salad sandwich, brunch spot. Nice wine list and very good service. Something for everyone on the menu

Blitzes with ricotta and pumpkin; latkes wrapped with salmon; grilled eggplant onions pesto on a toasted baguette and yummy salads are some of the choices. The service was courteous band attentive. Comfortable eating space

This is my second time trying Joshua's for Christmas Eve and ironically it was the last review done on the restaurant one year later. Again it is a pretty restaurant and the service is down to earth and friendly. The outside of the restaurant could not have been better decorated for the holidays with all the beautiful lights and decorations.... More

Probably the longest-lived restaurant in the heart of woodstock, thanks to excellent menu, affordable wine list and comfortable up and downstairs. Ask for window tables up or down for great people watching, especially on haloween, when the street shuts down and the costumes come out !

Been living in Woodstock since 1977 and I have been to Joshua's more times than I can count. Always great food. Great soup and salads. A good place for GF and Vegan eaters also.

Joshua’s continues to excel at Middle Eastern/Israeli food, as it has over the last four decades. We have always enjoyed their tabbouleh, stuffed grape leaves, hummus, falafel, zucchini flat cakes, and skewered meats. We noticed that the menu has been updated and refreshed with such items as chicken vegetable matzo ball soup, salmon-wrapped asparagus, kale salads, and shawarma. There are... More

Joshua's is a chef-owned restaurant featuring breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. The restaurant opens at 11 AM daily (closed Wednesday) and at 10 AM on the weekends. Specialties are mid-eastern fare, which is served creatively, attractively, and in abundance. A recent dinner visit there had us sampling the shish kebab, consisting of double skewers of flavorful lamb and grilled vegetables... More

The food was fresh and there was a great variety. We ordered a soup, 2 types of salads, the Mousaka and the Shakshuka and they were all delicious. The service was pleasant and prompt. All we wanted was to be back the following day for more.
