Volpe ristorante is located in Woodbury, Long Island at the Fox Hollow Inn. Fox Hollow is a major presence in the catering world and Volpe is their latest gourmet italian restaurant.Entering Fox Hollow we were enveloped in lights and flowers amidst dark wood panneled rooms and floors. We entered the restaurant on the second floor and were impressed with the... More

The food here was delicious. The server was personable. We enjoyed our dining experience here. The only problem is that the restaurant is so hidden that we had trouble finding it.

I have been to Fox Hollow on many occasions for business functions. Decided to try the new restaurant Volpe this past weekend. Celebrating my 50th, so I decided to invite a few friends. I received a certificate for a free bottle of wine during one of the business functions I attended, so why not use it. I have dined at... More

I went to Volpe for New Years Eve with a large party of friends and family. This was by far the worst dining experience I've ever had. I first placed a drink order for a dirty martini. The olive juice had gone bad. Others at the table could smell it from across the table. I sent it back and ordered... More

Had high hopes based on other reviews but was disappointed. Fox Hollow Inn a catering facility that has its own restaurant sometimes called Volpe. If you're happy with catering hall food quality you might like this restaurant. If you want quality restaurant fare go elsewhere. Went on prime rib night. Prime rib was tasteless and seemed like it came from... More

We've tried to like this place a few times but the cook (not chef) does not know what rare is. And for a place owned by the same people who own one or two other local stake places, they can't get the temperature correct for chicken or steak. Weird, like the Fox Hollow Inn, they just can't quite get it... More

After working all day at a location next to the restaurant, we saw the "LobsterWednesday"special noted in the lobby of the hotel next door so we decided to treat ourselves. This was no treat. When we got there there were two rooms in the restaurant: one completely empty and the other completely full. We found out that the reason one... More

Contrary to what many might think, jazz night at a restaurant can also offer up an outstanding meal. You are definitely not sacrificing a great meal to hear some great jazz at the Fox Hollow. As a matter of fact, my double thick lamb chops were the best I've ever had, and I've had lamb chops at some of the... More
