Everything was good here. Excellent French food in a lovely setting at a fair price. Well-prepared, good sized portions. A very sweet staff too. I like to complain (at least my family thinks so; ok everyone else too) but found everything to my liking. If you are in the northern Catskills don't miss having dinner here.

Visited restaurant while away for Labor Day weekend. Service was excellent, very friendly. Food was wonderful, a bit heavy but it is French food. Fancier place in town. Convenient location on the Main Street. Made reservations but tried to change them for earlier and was declined, although when I arrived the restaurant was absolutely not full.

Very charming French restaurant and staff. A small place that was very popular. Classic French dishes and good bread. Nice selection of desserts and good coffee. One can sit on the porch above the sidewalk or inside when it is too hot to benefit from the air conditioning.

We had dinner here tonight prior to going to a jazz piano concert by the amazing Fred Hirsch across the street. I had heard of this restaurant but had never tried it. Windham, which is known for its fine array of Italian restaurants, has this wonderful French restaurant which was a delightful surprise. The first step was choosing a wine... More

Thanks Tripadvisory for one of the best tips so far! We're having an end of summer 3-day mini vacation in the Hudson valley and today we stopped by in Windham, a small mountain town that looks very sleepy at this time of the year and surely gets busier in the winter months. We chose to dine in this French bistro... More

An al dente shiitake risotto is the mark of a skilled chef - truffle oil in a tomato bisque is a aromatic of the gods. The white bordeaux that I paired with these was nectar. The service was attentive and kind. All great attributes of a great restaurant.

We had a delicious meal beginning with crisp Sauvignon blanc and endive and Roquefort salad - lovely bread (always an indicator!) stellar service - they even house made some hot sauce when my husbands bouillabaisse wasn't spicy enough! My rack of lamb with a parsley herb-y coating was perfect and we both loved the profiteroles - ideal blend of pastry... More

We stopped here on a weeknight and although the room was full with an anniversary celebration, they found a spot for us outside on the balcony. Very interesting menu and amazing presentation. The seafood was very good. A bit cramped in terms is seating, but very good, overall!

Our family of picky French food eaters has been going here ever since it opened, so we picked it for our folks' 50th wedding anniversary -- and BBB did not disappoint. Excellent duck, salmon and steak dishes, and superb Bordeaux wine and salad were the standouts. They also accommodated our idea of creating swan-shaped desert pastries!
