We went at lunch for nachos (very average) & dinner for fajitas (also average). Not terrible but would not recommend or go back

When in Buffalo and Jonesing for Mexican food you gotta visit La Tolteca. Cold draughts, tasty margaritas, and outstanding food. We always hit La Tolteca when in Western NY.

This restaurant is very clean, friendly and was very busy. The food was excellent, The sign for the restaurant was not very big if you were looking for it while driving

I love La Tolteca! The food is excellent and the service is fast. The chips and salsa are delicious! And the food is not overpriced.

Enjoyed a family dinner here that became a fun, mini-birthday celebration at the end. The walls are covered with vivid and colorful paintings and pinatas. The menu is extremely large. Crab nachos were the best we've ever had; real crab, lots of cheese, warm and crunchy chips. The chips and salsa we received, pre-meal, were likewise quite good. The enchilada... More

It's been about 3 years since my friend and I met here for dinner and margaritas, and sadly, it's definitely not as good as it once was. Their complimentary salsa & chips were still amazing, but that's where the positive ended. We ordered the Chorizo & Queso dip and while it had very good flavor, it was lukewarm and barely... More

Chile verde, flautas and taco salad--different orders, same results: upset stomachs and heartburn inflicted upon the entire family. Just awful food.

I don't recall ever coming here without waiting. The chips and salsa are great, and so are the drinks. I have never been disappointed here.

Had not been here before, stopped for dinner just because we were in the mood for a nice Mexican meal. La Tolteca did not disappoint. Despite being extremely busy, we only had to wait about 5 minutes to be seated, and were then waited on in less than 2 minutes. Our waitress was very pleasant and attentive. The food was... More

I love coming here, from the decor to the food. Most Mexican restaurants are sparse, but this one is very festive in every way. But the food is the best! All the dishes are made fresh not frozen food. One way I judge a Mexican restaurant is on how their tamales are. Many don't have them, and I won't go... More
