Went there for a wedding rehearsal dinner, not really expecting much in the way of good food or great service. Was I in for a big surprise. Food was exceptional, by any standard, and service was stellar, led by Ken. Thanks for a wonderful evening, leading up to a wonderful wedding. Try this place. You will not be disappointed.

The Eagle House has always been ok. It is one of, if not the, oldest restaurants in the area. The food is OK, but not not a culinary experience.

The first time we tried this restaurant it was during the Easter holidays. At the time their menu was limited to Easter specials. This time around we wanted to experience the full menu and they did not disappoint with the choices. The prices are a little high but the quality of the food served is very good and enjoyable. We... I really wanted to love this place as I've heard so many wonderful things about it. I did enjoy its historic charm and vibrant wall paper. It is really interesting to be in a place with so much history! Although we didn't sit outside, they have a beautiful patio for dining in warm weather. I met 5 of my high... More

Stopped by for an early lunch and we were glad we came early. The outside tables filled up quickly. The inner rooms were tasteful and had interesting things upon the walls but we Buffalonians love to take advantage of "outdoor eating weather." Our waitress was pleasant, helpful, and did not "hover." Our food was served in a timely manner. We... More

This place has it all. History and good food. Make that great food. We usual try for the early bird specials and the pot pie is to literally die for. Best ice cream I think I have ever had. Not to be missed.

early american decor, food can be hit or miss...legend has it building was part of the Underground Railroad during Civil War helping slaves reach Canada across the Niagara River. Nicely run bar area for quiet, refined happy hour meetings.

Charlene so nice to hear you appreciate the historical significance of The Eagle House...we're a historic building that has always been a tavern, not just turned into a restaurant...proud to note, we do have one of the longest held liquor licenses in Erie county and we've been welcoming our local community and travelers since 1827 with the original owner Oziel... We decided to try this restaurant after years of driving by. It wasn't too hard to get in on a Saturday night. I wish there was room on the patio. It was a beautiful night. The server, Ken, was very attentive and the busser worked well with him. The food was tasty and portions large. I look forward to going... More

We ate here for dinner a few months ago, and it was spectacular! We dined on the upper outdoor balcony, which was beautiful. The servers were friendly, and the food was great. My pasta had spicy shrimp with the right amount of kick to it. Great restaurant.

The Eagle House is an original stage coach stop along Main Street (NY5) in Williamsville NY. So the ambiance is colonial. The entrée selections and glasses of wine was broad and reasonably priced. The meals (salmon & turkey dinner) were complete with house garden salad and bread. The quality of both dinners was very good and an adult version for... More
