The beef was good but not much of it for $7.00/sandwich. Still hungry an hour later after $17 for wife and me plus one Pepsi.

We get take-out from Charlie's a few times a month and it's always excellent. Roast beef is always tender and delicious and the kimmelweck roll it comes on is very good. There's always different side dishes to choose from and everyone we've had has been great. Soups are very good too. The dining area is a bit of a dive... More

We eat from Charlie's at least twice a month. Good portion sizes. Soup is excellent - homemade grandma tasting soup - yum yum !

This is a local favorite with a loyal following and a reputation with savvy travelers as well. The main location is close to the airport and after arriving after a long flight, it's absolutely the best place to grab a great meal with little or no effort. Of course, the focus is on great sandwiches; the famous "beef on weck"... More

I saw an episode on the food channel with regards to this restaurant. While on business I stopped and am I glad I did! I wanted to try their signature sandwich, the beef on a weck. It is fantastic! Lean beef that melts in your mouth and the weck roll complimented it, I added horseradish my sandwich. I also ordered... More

Love their " Real" Turkey Sandwich, comes with lots of hand sliced turkey, lettuce and tomatoe on a roll w side pickle. Heard the Roast beef on Kimelwick is great too, but a little too rare cooked for me, Some of the other items on their menu look really good too.

After the airport our first stop is Charlie the Butcher . Then a great beef on weck sandwich. Always enjoy the small town feel and good food.

We went for lunch today, and as always, Charlie was present. I like how they have samples of the specials on display to entice you as you ponder the menu. A must visit place when visiting Western New York.

The good is ok but I do not get the hype. The place us small ugly and tight. I guess the meat is good but not where we want to sit

My mom and I came here when I had a long delay at the airport. We both loved our food and we stayed long and chatted. Because I don't eat bread, I ended up ordering two "sandwiches" (just the meat), and I was surprised that I preferred the ham over the roast beef. Mom loved her weck. I want to... More
