Great Turkey Sandwich

Love their " Real" Turkey Sandwich, comes with lots of hand sliced turkey, lettuce and tomatoe on a roll w side pickle. Heard the Roast beef on Kimelwick is great too, but a little too rare cooked for me, Some of the other items on their menu look really good too.

After the airport our first stop is Charlie the Butcher . Then a great beef on weck sandwich. Always enjoy the small town feel and good food.

We went for lunch today, and as always, Charlie was present. I like how they have samples of the specials on display to entice you as you ponder the menu. A must visit place when visiting Western New York.

The good is ok but I do not get the hype. The place us small ugly and tight. I guess the meat is good but not where we want to sit

My mom and I came here when I had a long delay at the airport. We both loved our food and we stayed long and chatted. Because I don't eat bread, I ended up ordering two "sandwiches" (just the meat), and I was surprised that I preferred the ham over the roast beef. Mom loved her weck. I want to... More

If you are a meat lover, this is undoubtedly the best sandwich you will ever have! I have had the beef on weck in several places, but nobody even comes close to this place.

Went to Charlie's for lunch since we were in the area and ordered one of Charlie's daily specials. It was a prime rib sandwich with peppers, onions and melted provolone. Excellent quality of prime rib for the money. No frills, just a great sandwich. One of their hand carve turkey sandwiches was also ordered, again great quality. Truly a hidden... More

We make the occasional trip to Buffalo and wanted a good sandwich. Checked the internet and this place was among the top rated places for a beef on weck and boy o boy were the good ratings warranted. This is an old school throwback type of dinner setting with a counter and some booths and tables. A very simple menu... More

Another best kept non-secret. There have been some that have literally flown in to the area just to come here. (John Kennedy Jr. years ago) Buffalo roast beef on "weck". (Google it!!) Great home made soups. Smoked turkey & fresh pork also options for sandwiches.

After washing my hands I got in line to order. Charlie mistook me for a homeless or he is a racist because instead of taking my order he asked if there was something else they could do for me. The old man is losing it. His cook was angry and hitting and slapping the food and containers against the counter.... More
