Great local place to eat, consistently good! Try the mussels posillipo. And it's easy to forget their pizza is great and is actually what got the place on the map years ago. Very experienced wait-staff.

Dirty, old, smelly, depressing, stale bread, cold, hard butter, food is barely ok, like a frozen dinner - a burger or pizza is your best bet, if you must eat there, if not, just walk out. Service is below adequate, gentleman who sometimes seats you is not too friendly, the place needs new owners, new bartenders ~not too friendly older... More

The food here is as old as the restaurant... maybe older - they have not updated their menu since I live in Whitestone (42 years). I don't see any reason to go their as there are other good Italian restaurants around if you don't want to go out to Long Island or into the City.

We have been dining at the Clinton for 33 years! The food is fantastic, the atmosphere cozy and the people are like family. We have brought our friends from all around the country here and when we visit them in their States, they ask us to bring then chicken parm from the Clinton. We love it!

A gem of a restaurant. Excellent foor & service. A very friendly & warm atmosphere. Many have been coming for years. A real mom & pop experience!!. I always look forward coming in for a few drinks, a good meal & good conversation.

The food here is okay not great just good. There are a few dishes they do quite well (chicken scallopine pizziola) but I wouldn't rave. One awful food - their meatballs. How do you have an Italian restaurant and gave horrible meatballs? And their pasta is almost always overdone. Nice in the spring to sit outside have a glass of... More

Met an old friend for lunch yesterday and the food, the atmosphere and the location were great. It was a first time experience and I'll definitely be back. The chicken parm was very very good, cooked just right and not smothered in sauce like some places do to disguise the meat. The cheese was melted to perfection and you can't... More
