Steak great, with a solid dining experience

The service is fantastic. Everything was good, but could have been better. The lobster bisque was quite nice, but would have been nicer with less cream. The crab cakes were good, but the sauce let them down - solid mayonnaise. The steak was fantastic, but the juice that came with it was blah... read more

Let me start by saying our food was excellent and so was the service after we finally got settled. Unfortunately, the hostess would not give us a booth that we requested and explained the booths were all reserved. Then, gave us a booth right next to the hostesses desk so, that everyone arriving would be standing over us as we... More

My husband was out of town so I thought I'd have a nice dinner out with my two older boys. We arrived to find an overburdened host taking phone calls and doing nothing while party after party arrived and wandered around trying to figure out when they would be seated. After about 30 minutes with no greeting or direction we... More

This was the most fun I've ever had at a Mortons and it was all because of the staff. They were so engaging, fun and knowledgeable about their menus. They even let me watch the chef's for a bit because I just wanted to see them work up close nearer to the kitchen. In the true tradition of Morton's, the... More

I'm from Chicago, so its no surprise that the steaks served at Morton's White Plains came all the way from Chicago! The steaks were great, served at perfect temperature. Service was top notch. We tried "Cherry Pie Pinot Noir" and it was fantastic.

We are glad we had the chance to visit for Restaurant week and have three courses for $29.99. We had the Morton's salad and the small filet mignon. Both were cooked exactly as ordered For dessert we had the Key Lime pie and special Morton's chocolate cake The service was very attentive. But not fussy. We would go back here.

OK, so I thought Morton's would have fabulous steak. I was wrong. Really wrong. But my double pork chops were sensational. The Ceasar salads were so under-dressed as to be ridiculous. (Returning them wasn't an option -- it always makes for an uncomfortable atmosphere for the others at the table.) My friend asked for grilled onions with his steak --... More

Last month, my wife and I had dinner at Morton's The Steakhouse in White Plains. The ambiance was very elegant and quiet. We started with the bread and the salad and the merlot red. The medium-rare filet mignon was perfect. My wife found the crusted salmon special delicious. The hot chocolate cake was an excellent end to the dinner. The... More

I was very disappointed by this place. The large crowded restaurant was noisy and the food is prepared almost like fast food, and doesn't taste any different than a much less expensive steakhouse. The process are ridiculous. I was there during a promotional week, but it would seem that it can't be any better on a regular time, just costlier.
