I have frequented this place several times. the Chicken Scarparo has always been consistently good. I recently tried the Shrimp Marinara over a bed of linguini, it was over cooked (squishy) and the linguini was as far aldenti as could be, the Marinara sauce used to be better? Disappointing.

Just ate there for the first time and will be sure never to return. This is the most unaccommodating restaurant I have ever eaten in. No matter what we asked for they could not make it happen. My husband is a vegetarian and requested that the marinara sauce which should be a vegetarian sauce, be made without chicken broth. Nope... More

Being an NY born and raised Italian-American, I truly appreciate every aspect of the La Manda's dining experience. Restaurant is nothing fancy but the food delivers and service charms. My friends and I loved the menu, we deliberated on what to get for quite a while (but we ordered Peroni's, clams and mussels to tide us over while we made... More

This is a cash only, go to typical family Italian food: Chicken parm, fried calamari, a chicken Scarpiello, amazing tomato sauce, etc but ambiance is in need of a remodel. There's a must-y odor as well. Pizza ok. Convenient parking in back.

LaManda's has been around for ever. It's owned by the original family. They make the kind of food and portion size your old Italian grandmother used to make. You must go here hungry and don't eat bread. I think they make great pizza.

We have lived in the area all our lives; never visited this restaurant before. However, friends suggested we go with them and OMG, the eggplant rolatini was the best ever. It's a hole-in-the-wall kind of ambiance but it feels like the neighborhood restaurant that everyone grows up with; think we are the only couple in our neighorhood who never gave... More

Love this place. Initially, I wondered why my friend ate here so much, but after I tried the food, I found out why! I'm a Southern foodie and anywhere that is generous with portions is already a great place, but the food is flavorful, the people are nice and friendly, and the place is always bustling with families from all... When my boyfriend took me to his favorite place to eat in White Plains, I was being courteous and "going along for the ride" to be a sport. But this place is "home." My boyfriend eats here more than at his own home (and he's a great cook). I found the Chicken Scarparo TO DIE FOR, but the chicken rollatini... More

The food is all excellent. Have never had anything I didn't like. The decor leaves a little to be desired, but the food makes up for this. Pricing is fair for what you get.

My first visit was with friends who had grown up eating here. My impression: sticky plastic tablecloths. Food was Italian, much like the food in every other Italian restaurant at the time. I never wanted to return. But years later, my husband found the place and brought me back. To be fair, it had been updated. A bit. The food... More
