The food is all excellent. Have never had anything I didn't like. The decor leaves a little to be desired, but the food makes up for this. Pricing is fair for what you get.

My first visit was with friends who had grown up eating here. My impression: sticky plastic tablecloths. Food was Italian, much like the food in every other Italian restaurant at the time. I never wanted to return. But years later, my husband found the place and brought me back. To be fair, it had been updated. A bit. The food... More

Having eaten at La Manda's for decades I thought it was about time I reviewed this old fashioned landmark.I've been ordering the same thing as long as I can remember. We start with the La Manda mixed salad for 1, which is more than enough for 2 people, followed by the house specialty chicken Scaparo...on the bone, extra crispy...with 2 hot red cherry... I have been going here for years whenever I am in the neighborhood. I like the Shrimp Parmigiana over a bed of linguini. Their wine selection is quite limited Nothing to write home about. The beer selection is not great either. Good service. good food, and reasonably priced. Family run. Now that Jerry only there infrequently the place is definitely... More

We used to live in White Plains and were regulars in the little gem. We were in the neighborhood and it was dinner time, so why not. Nothing, absolutely nothing has changed in 22 years and I mean this in a good way. The pizza is still fabulous. My daughter got pasta and said it was good (she wasn't born... More

It's sad for patrons of this classic "joint" that Jerry takes the summer in Italy, as his son Sly keeps us from going there till Jerry comes back. I have never met a more controlling, arrogant, pompous restaurant front man than Sly. Jerry, come back, we miss you!!

I stopped just before closing on a Monday night, hungry and cranky from an unpleasant meeting. Greeted by an old man I asked if I was too late for supper? Warmly welcomed, I was offered my choice of tables and escorted to a dining room booth. Soon a bottle of water arrived, my drink order was taken and followed shortly... More

We come here every once in a while, starting when I was a kid. The same family has owned it since 1966,The sauces are old style Italian and very flavorful. The portions are good. The Dad is still around, and checks on you when you are dining, and he is so kind to everyone. The Son is running the place, and... More

The original owner , Jerry, was charming - greeted guests as if they were his friends - his son runs it now - obnoxious guy - we go there once a year for old times sake and are always dissapointed to see how his son deals with the patrons . The food is good but if you care about patronizing... More
