Great NYC-Style Steakhouse without crossing any bridges or tunnels!

First time visit, made the reservation on a whim. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised with our meal, we didn't know what to expect at a steakhouse in Westchester and It was our first "non-borough" steakhouse in 2 years since moving to the Bronx. The meal: Appetizer - Shrimp Cocktail... read more

Here you fill get a warm welcome and professional service: knowledgeable, competent yet non-intrusive, and a subdued elegant ambiance that is not stuffy. However, the most important reason to dine here is the perfectly cooked, very flavorful steak. The rib steak is easily the equal of the rib steak served at the famous Brooklyn restaurant. In addition, the wine list... More

For me, Benjamin is a classic case of the law of diminishing returns. As good as it is, I stated thinking of math. This place had a steak 80% as good for 27% the cost, another 85% as good for 40% the cost, a third 90% AT 50% and finally one other at 93% as good for notch over half... More

A Real Steakhouse. Everything is first class. Hearty drinks, all the expected dishes expertly served. Beautiful prime porterhouse cooked perfectly medium rare. Even the sirloin side melted in my mouth. Creamed spinach and home fries excellent. Cappuccino with key lime pine couldn't be better. I'll be back.

first of all the place was decorated really nice for the holidays. It felt warm and inviting. The food selection was similar to sparks or peter lugars in NYC. The had all the apps like crab cakes and lump crab. The main courses were also the same as well as the sides. The service was spot on. The prices were... More

We eat at Benjamin's in White Plains a few times a month. The food and service are always wonderful. Staff is very attentive and food is always cooked to perfection. Seating is always prompt and they happily request special seating. The staff is helpful to elderly diners and even cuts up meat for them. They go over and above. Wonderful... More

The restaurant is large and well appointed with a beautiful wine room behind glass. There is a large bar in front when one walks in and you can order food at the bar. The hostesses are nice and greet you and seat you. They don't however, make any attempt to pull out your chair, to ask if this table is... More

It's beyond amazing how they treat you as well as how good the food is. You don't need to visit the city to get a city experience.

We came here for a birthday dinner - which I mentioned on the phone when I made the reservation. We were seated quickly and the service was attentive. We started with a shared salad, and followed with the the filet mignon. It was a bit disappointing - on the dry side without a lot of flavor. We order a desert... More

This was my first experience at this steakhouse and it will NOT be my last. The service, food ambiance and cleanliness was great. The bar service was just okay...nothing to "wow" about. I went to Park Steakhouse in Northvale a few weeks ago and Benjamin's is definitely my preferred choice. It's pricey but well worth it.
