I love the ambiance of this chic restaurant. It offers a great view overlooking the city and the bar was pretty busy as well. The food was very good. My only gripe would be that the portion sizes were small and pricy. Also, many of the things for the entrees were ala carte. Other than that it was pretty good.

Been to 42 a number of times. I had one really really really bad experience and that is why I'm giving such a low score. Went to lunch during resturant week. We ordered food. First the order was wrong for my co-worker. I ordered the chicken. I took a bite and the chicken was raw. I had to send it... More

It would seem that Chef/Owner Anthony Goncalves continues to have an identity crisis. Yet again the menu has changed. 42 used to be our favorite restaurant. The views are spectacular and the food was as delicious as it was creative. We've been going there since it opened and this is the 6th menu change that we know of. Not to... More

My husband and I used a Groupon and it was a real treat. The menu was very interesting and we left well satisfied. The views, even on a hazy evening, were fascinating. It was fun to look out and identify paths we frequently traverse. The prices at this place are very high. I would go more often if it were... More

My BF and I were staying at the Ritz and opted to try the 42 Restaurant for my 42nd birthday. Seemed fitting enough right? We called ahead to reserve a table by the window. They didn't have any tables available until 8:45pm and said they would try to accommodate our request. We got there and waited about 10-15 mins for... More

42 floors above white plains sits 42- wonderful views and a trendy beautiful interior- the staff is young and somewhat inexperienced for this type of restaurant but very friendly and helpful. The food is fresh and interesting- something for everyone- tapas and main courses as well as a great wine list- If you are looking for a different dining experience,... More

615 pm seems like the only time we can get in. It's always booked. Food is small but really tasty and really nice. Too much light in the place at that time though. $1000 bucks for dinner in the bright light seemed weird.

Clearly this restaurant is not affliated with the Ritz Carlton! I was in the White Plains area to celebrate a close friend's Birthday - We were dressed very well, to walk into a place & see the staff wearing sneakers. The bar area was incredibly small & uncomfortable. The music was blasting so loudly I could not hear the bartender,... More

The service here is great. Drink prices are reasonable and the happy hour is an added plus. They also have a dj on the weekends.

It's the kind of place you would take your prom date in hopes of impressing them. The food was just average, not bad not great though. The service was below par for the price although the place was only half full they rushed to try to turn the table.
