My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Ritz Carlton in Westchester last month. We began the evening with dinner at 42 The Restaurant. The view was lovely and the service was fine. The quality of the food was alright. My opinion is that considering the prices, the quantity served was below average.. but imagine... CHARGING the customer for... More

Food is very pricey. Drinks way over priced. I ordered a dirty martini. Came to me 3/4 full with 3 giant olives in a stupid looking non traditional martini glass. Totally ruined my drink. I have not returned for that reason. But the views are worth the visit.

I have gone to this restaurant several times over the past two years and it has steadily declined to the point where I would never consider going here again...it's not about the food ...the food taste really good...it's everything else that goes on the staff are terrible...The managers are overwhelmed...there is no attention to detail in his place it literally... We went for Restaurant Week. The selections were great. My wife had a 24ounce steak which was extra but tasty. I had very good short ribs. The appetizers were ok. The bread pudding for desert was good. I think for an upscale, expensive restaurant the service is poor. Water glasses don't get refilled. You don't get bread. You have to... More

The great service begins when you walk into the beautiful hotel lobby. The atmosphere was unique for a birthday dinner while we overlooked the bright lights of White Plains at night. The food is average for the price. Overall it was a nice experience. I would consider returning again for lunch.

I love the ambiance of this chic restaurant. It offers a great view overlooking the city and the bar was pretty busy as well. The food was very good. My only gripe would be that the portion sizes were small and pricy. Also, many of the things for the entrees were ala carte. Other than that it was pretty good.

Been to 42 a number of times. I had one really really really bad experience and that is why I'm giving such a low score. Went to lunch during resturant week. We ordered food. First the order was wrong for my co-worker. I ordered the chicken. I took a bite and the chicken was raw. I had to send it... More

It would seem that Chef/Owner Anthony Goncalves continues to have an identity crisis. Yet again the menu has changed. 42 used to be our favorite restaurant. The views are spectacular and the food was as delicious as it was creative. We've been going there since it opened and this is the 6th menu change that we know of. Not to... More

My husband and I used a Groupon and it was a real treat. The menu was very interesting and we left well satisfied. The views, even on a hazy evening, were fascinating. It was fun to look out and identify paths we frequently traverse. The prices at this place are very high. I would go more often if it were... More
