We returned to this restaurant after two years and were shocked by just how awful it was. The first time, while not "wowed" the food was reasonably good and the atmosphere overlooking downtown White Plains was lovely. Unfortunately, the second time will be our last. The first change is that the larger section of the restaurant is now only used... More

My husband and I had been meaning to go to 42 for a while and finally got our chance when we were able to buy a Groupon for a four course meal for two. The food is amazing here and I love how each table gets their own view of the city (you both sit facing the windows). It's really... More

It was a bad experience overall, discontent. I went to this restaurant because I was told how great the view was but other than the view nothing special, food is over priced, and costumer service was poor. I wouldn't return even if I was offered a free meal, the place has great potential and would do much better by giving... More

This restaurant was recently closed and reopened on a much smaller scale as I understand it to be more accommodating to its guests and so the owner chef could cook personally for all his guests. Considering those comments, I was expecting impeccable services and food quality and was very disappointed. The only great things abut this place is the view... More

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at the Ritz Carlton in Westchester last month. We began the evening with dinner at 42 The Restaurant. The view was lovely and the service was fine. The quality of the food was alright. My opinion is that considering the prices, the quantity served was below average.. but imagine... CHARGING the customer for... More

Food is very pricey. Drinks way over priced. I ordered a dirty martini. Came to me 3/4 full with 3 giant olives in a stupid looking non traditional martini glass. Totally ruined my drink. I have not returned for that reason. But the views are worth the visit.

I have gone to this restaurant several times over the past two years and it has steadily declined to the point where I would never consider going here again...it's not about the food ...the food taste really good...it's everything else that goes on the staff are terrible...The managers are overwhelmed...there is no attention to detail in his place it literally...
