Worth waiting for

We heard they have great food so we thought to give it try. Got there early and only waited twenty minutes. I have heard of one hour or more if you go prime time..The place in nothing fancy but the food is outrageous. My wife ordered the shrimp in garlic sauce and I had the skirt steak. Both were... read more

Every single time I come back to the 'States I MUST visit this place. It used to be a diner back when I was a kid, but for the last 10+ years it's been the home to the hands down best Colombian restaurant I've been to outside of Medellin. The roasted chicken is moist, seasoned perfectly and delicious. The skirt... More

How to even start!? Went for lunch it was super crowded but to our surprise we had a very short wait. Staff is super courteous and orders come fast. They have a great selection of Columbian favorites and general Hispanic food. Prices are good and food is delicious. It was exactly what you want: flavor, good portions, good ambience, good... More

We have driven past Pollo El Paisa a hundred times and every time its packed. This time we figured we would give it a try - now we understand why it's crowded. The food is very good, portions large and prices are right. My wife had the rotis chicken - moist / fell off the bone - delicious. I had... More

Everything is great. I have eaten there multiple times and each time the food is fantastic. Their rotisserie chicken is the best, the meat falls off the bone. My husband loves their seafood casserole. Portions are large.

Had to wait 45 minutes to sit in this tiny former diner. There were 4 of us but for some reason they only put down two glasses of water. Even after we asked for two more, had to ask twice. The sangria was tasteless. The skirt steak was tough and unevenly cooked (rare on the ends, well done in the... More

This is a small but well-run place on Old Country Road near the Wantagh. It is friendly, clean, and the owners and their daughters are often around to meet&greet customers. The food is top-notch, with VERY generous portions, fresh ingredients, and lots of good choices. I had the grilled steak bandeja platter, which is HUGE and under $!5. It comes... More

Delicious Columbian cooking. Gone back here several times. This very small diner type restaurant is always busting at the seams. You can see people waiting on the main street to get in where a wait can be 1 1/2. The shrimp in creamy garlic sauce is the bomb. The mixed seafood in lobster sauce is overwhelming. The baked Red Snapper is... More

My friends took me to apollos El Paisa for dinner with there family. We had to wait 45-minutes to get a seat, another 30-minutes for our meals. The food is really good but be aware that you may have to wait to be seated and then wait for your food.

We have enjoying this plain eatery in Westbury. It is a local gem. The chicken is well cooked and the portions are good. Everything from sides to salads has been good. The atmosphere and patrons are friendly. The tables are simple and a bit cramped if you wear a large you must navigate carefully. The fare is consistent, kid friendly,... More
