Just on way back to Perth from Albany..80 ks travelled. Stopped here for a coffee and something to eat. Very modern, air conditioned and full toilet facilities. Wheel chair friendly and also pet friendly. Have tables outside as well as on a verandah on the side protected from weather. We sat out fron and enjoyed a lovely cool breeze. The... More

We stopped at this cafe for breakfast last weekend. An order of Eggs Benedict was superb; quality food presented well. As I was feeling a bit peckish I ordered the Big Breakfast - big was an understatement! A huge meal made with quality ingredients and obviously cooked by a person who enjoys good food. It was that large that I... More

Having raved about Black Cockatoo Cafe in the past and told many people it had the best coffee...unfortunately we have found this not to be the case lately. Coffee was like dish water, not once but several times.... Also, when it is a cold and rainy morning with lots of holiday traffic you would think that turning on the fryer... More

As an occasional customer at the Black Cockatoo i have always enjoyed the meals there. But WOW, very pleasantly surprised at my visit today. They have a new cook and i must say she is fantastic, her club sandwich is to die for, came to the table very quick and well presented. Will definitely be stopping again and telling my... More

We dropped in with 13 people during school holidays - calling ahead our sandwich order. Staff were very pleasant and had set up a table for us. The food was delivered to our table promptly and our sandwiches were fresh and delicious. Coffees were excellent too. It's a great place to stop on the drive from Perth to Albany, Mt... More

We called in here for a coffee and muffin on a rainy day heading back to Perth. The staff were friendly and the coffee a million times better than what we had bought in Albany! Good value and atmosphere.

We've eaten here several times, and the food is always pretty good - generous serves from a fairly basic menu. Yesterday we had club sandwiches with chicken and bacon - nice fillings, though it was on pretty stodgy white bread. They were very busy due to the wildflower festival and took a very long time to make sandwiches. We were... More

Cafe is large and roomy and a nice atmosphere and outlook with windows all around and al fresco area. It didn't seem busy when we arrived but the wait for food once ordered seem to take a little while, so best to not be in a hurry when you come here. I noticed those waiting for take aways seemed to... More

Situated behind the tourist information. Good GF toasted sandwiches and cakes. although they seemed to be clearing up at 2.15 they were still selling pies, sandwiches and cakes, they don't actually close until 3pm. The staff were friendly and helpful we went there for lunch and a snack the next day.
