Whalers Licensed Restaurant is located amongst the landscaped gardens of the Exmouth Escape Resort. We offer the perfect relaxed dining experience to complete your visit to Western Australia's world famous Ningaloo Reef.

Liz Minniear and executive chef Paul Minniear have owned and operated Whalers Restaurant since 2007. In early 2014 they moved the restaurant from Kennedy st to the Exmouth Escape Resort where they can now offer a more comfortable, modern and lush setting for their diners' pleasure. They continue to pride themselves on fresh, honest flavours and source the finest local seafood, steaks and produce available.

Live music is a regular feature at the restaurant with solo or duo acoustic acts playing on the deck while you enjoy your meal.

Whalers also caters for functions including Weddings, birthdays and business functions which can be catered for off site or at the restaurant.

The Best

Food was fantastic, if you like a bit of zing you have to try the Jalapeno Poppers, and the Oyster Shot of the day. Sit over looking the pool, stunning.

Food was fantastic, if you like a bit of zing you have to try the Jalapeno Poppers, and the Oyster Shot of the day. Sit over looking the pool, stunning.

Very nice atmosphere and the food was very tasty. I had the seafood spaghetti and it was delicious and plenty to fill me up.

Nice menu choice but my prawns were gritty where they had not been deveined and my husband asked for his grilled fish with salad but it came with a hefty portion of chips - not good on a diet. Staff were extremely friendly.

This place is exceptional, top notch and fast service, meals were excellent and everything was fresh and made from scratch. These guys have got it sorted that's for sure a hidden gem in exmouth do yourself a favour and visit this place!!!!!!!

The best restaurant on the coast, just absolutely incredible! You should go absolutely starving as you leave feeling 12 months pregnant, the meals are so filling and just so great and tasty! Ever time we come to Exmouth we make it a point to come and eat here as the food is amazing and staff are so friendly and welcoming. If you like hot food try the jalapeno poppers!!

We went to this restaurant craving seafood and did not leave disappointed. Would recommend this restaurant in a heartbeat. The food was really tasty and the cocktails were great!

Super attentive service. Great menu with lots on offer for everyone. Food was presented well and satisfying! I had the Hawaiian chicken and my mother had the reef and beef. Both meals were very filling!
