Description: Whalers Licensed Restaurant is located amongst the landscaped gardens of the Exmouth Escape Resort. We offer the perfect relaxed dining experience to complete your visit to Western Australia's world famous Ningaloo Reef. Liz Minniear and executive chef Paul Minniear have owned and operated Whalers Restaurant since 2007. In early 2014 they moved the restaurant from Kennedy st to the Exmouth Escape Resort where they can now offer a more comfortable, modern and lush setting for their diners' pleasure. They continue to pride themselves on fresh, honest flavours and source the finest local seafood, steaks and produce available. Live music is a regular feature at the restaurant with solo or duo acoustic acts playing on the deck while you enjoy your meal. Whalers also caters for functions including Weddings, birthdays and business functions which can be catered for off site or at the restaurant.

I'm a local and it is definitely my fave spot for dinner...always take friends there and we always have the best time. Sometimes there is live music which is great also. I believe the liquor license is on its way, which will make the whole experience even more enjoyable as 'planning' ahead what to drink wont be a issue. Looking... More

This restaurant is the best in Exmouth. Book a table ahead of time to ensure you get to eat here. Lovely setting overlooking the resort pool. At the moment they dont have a liquor license, so you need to BYO any alcohol. They do warn you when you book, which was nice. Excellent service from all the staff. Kitchen was... More

My husband and I had dinner here whilst staying in Exmouth, I honestly cannot rate the food here highly enough! The meals are well priced, the food is absolutely delicious and the staff were very attentive (and BYO- what more could you want) Will definitely recommend to our family and friends! Thanks for the best meal I have had in... More

We had garlic and chilli mussels to start, delicious and full of flavour. Then we shared the seafood platter which arrived on a three tier stand. All the seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked. Not cheap but very good quality. Serve friendly.

While staying in Exmouth we had dinner at Whalers with 2 couples and a 20-month old, it was a special night to celebrate a birthday and whalers didn't disappoint; nice food and good atmosphere. Friendly service (especially like the attention for the toddler) and reasonable prices. Definitely a recommendation in Exmouth, make sure you have a booking because its usually... More

First time trying crocodile and it was amazing! The seafood sampler was a delight and quite filling…excellent chips too! Great atmosphere though a little pricey for the area.

We had booked this restaurant as we were staying at the Novotel Ningaloo resort and Whalers is walking distance (for us- it's about a 3klm round trip) from the resort. We had to wait for our table but the service improved once we were seated, the restaurant is quite popular. It overlooks the pool and is very pleasant, good range... More

My partner and I shared the fried crocodile and garlic bread. The crocodile was juicy and well seasoned, and the garlic bread seemed to be fresh and absolutely delicious. The entrees/appetizers came out very quickly. We then waited 40 minutes between appetizers being cleared and mains. My main was the twice cooked pork belly. There was no issue swapping out... More

We had the seafood gumbo and the fish special of the day. The gumbo is very nice with lots of mussels, fish pieces, prawn and charizo. The best is the crispy soft shell crab on top. The fish special of the day is almond crested locally caught snapper with a very nice salad of greens, orange, almond, pine nuts and... More
