Description: Nestled in the heart of Denmark, Southern End Restaurant and Function...
Nestled in the heart of Denmark, Southern End Restaurant and Function Centre is a hidden Beauty waiting to be discovered. Glass windows frame the country-style building, providing stunning views - layers in fact - of garden, forest and ocean that will captivate and amaze. The spectacle alone makes it an ideal location for weddings, birthdays and other momentous occasions. Coupled with the sensational food and function AND CORPORATE facilities, this is a venue too perfect to dismiss. The function centre is very popular place for weddings in the immaculately landscaped gardens, overlooking the Great Southern Ocean and Wilson Inlet. Then celebrate the day away in the classic white-walled function centre. Everything can be arranged for you, from the ceremony and flowers to the wedding cake. There are two chefs, based in the restaurant, who will happily design a menu to suit your occasion. All the standard function facilities are available, including a built-in projector, large screen and speakers. The restaurant, which is separate to the function area, seats up to 140 people and features predominantly local produce, including beef, chicken and fish with vegetarian and gluten free options. Outside, there's a playground for the youngsters and a garden piazza where local artists regularly entertain during the summer. Indoors, a piano and log fire create a warm ambiance during the winter. This is a one of a kind for its area. The team is keen to make it the number one spot for functions down south,

Nice spot for a special dinner

Best salt and pepper squid I think I've had in a long time. View is spectacular, only wish we'd got there earlier to enjoy it. Beers brewed in house were a big hit, and the fire was good to thaw out. Would be good having the balcony area heated. Service was good and food was lovely.

I have always been happy with this restaurant - up till now. I ordered the salad, the spinach with roast beetroot, roast sweet potato, pine nuts and crumbled fetta - with the chicken extra..., i also had a glass of diet coke... Upon paying the bill $31.00!!! i nearly died... I expected the salad to be around $22 - $24... More

The seafood platter here was great, nothing deep fried except the chips, fish was in a delicious cream sauce, oysters Killpatrick not Killpatrick but yum, garlic prawns with creamy rice, scallops in shell with crumbs and salt pepper squid, all very nice and priced well. Wasn't wrapped in the house wine though, for that region there should have been more... More

If you are in the area, make sure you have a meal at this place. The views of the hilly countryside along with the South Ocean in the background will take your breath away. The food was much better than expected, no disappointment whatsoever. Very friendly staff. You are in for a treat.

Picture perfect setting and staff very friendly but the food lacked any wow factor given the price. We started with the seafood taster of three mini servings of the larger dishes, prawns, squid and scallops and whilst all 'nice' that was as far as it went. Mains of steak which was was fantastic and WA fish which was disappointing, fish... More

Over the years many good feeds here, and always good service and variety, but recent trip the meals looked a bit tired & bland, and ended up a little too oily for my liking. Some others at our table thought their meals were ok, as we all had something different, but two of us were disappointed. As I said usually... More

We had breakfast at this restaurant on Mothers Day 11/5/2014 and it was not as good as roadhouse breakfasts we have previously experienced. The eggs were overcooked, the tomato's mushy and the sausage inedible. There was little to choose from with the cereals just raw oat muesli. We had read so many glowing reports about the lunch menu and will... More

We were here for a wedding reception. The food was excellent with good size portions. The only quibble I had was that they were slightly understaffed knowing they were feeding 150 people. More wait people needed or was it the kitchen unable to serve more quickly? I would certainly return in a small group to sample the excellent local produce.
