We had breakfast at this restaurant on Mothers Day 11/5/2014 and it was not as good as roadhouse breakfasts we have previously experienced. The eggs were overcooked, the tomato's mushy and the sausage inedible. There was little to choose from with the cereals just raw oat muesli. We had read so many glowing reports about the lunch menu and will... More

We were here for a wedding reception. The food was excellent with good size portions. The only quibble I had was that they were slightly understaffed knowing they were feeding 150 people. More wait people needed or was it the kitchen unable to serve more quickly? I would certainly return in a small group to sample the excellent local produce.

Our second visit and it didn't disappoint. The views are stunning. A menu of local wines (always nice to see the locals supporting the locals!) had to have our Rickety Gate! We enjoyed our fish of the day. Fresh local fish a really tasty dish. We loved the sticky date dessert and OMG the sauce was just Devine! Well done... More

Went and had morning tea with hot chocolate and scones and admired the view over the valley. Did not have lunch this time.

This restaurant is worth going to just for the views, it is in such a beautiful spot with butteflies flying around the windows. The staff were very friendly and attentive and the food was delicious. The bruchetta for an entree was one of the best I've ever tasted. I had the steak with prawns on top. My only complaint is... More

We were met at the door and taken to a table well away from the views even though the place was almost empty. We asked for another table close to a window and after a lot of thought the waitress agreed but only after making a snide remark. The service didn't improve and we seemed to be an inconvenience. No... More

The food was impeccable and the view breath taking. Prices were very reasonable. Defiantly worth having dinner here! They even have live music, which was lovely.

We went to Denmark in the busy Christmas period, lots of places where closed or not accepting reservations, but Southern End accepted us without any problems. We wanted to eat early so that fitted in with everyone concerned. The food was excellent, I had the Eye Fillet (and I've got to say I'm a steak eater) which was really really... More

We were in Denmark for holidays during Xmas and NY. I called this place one night and tried to book in for dinner an hour before the dinner time. Based on the average service of the restaurants in Denmark, I expected to hear NO, we don't have any table available. Instead the person on the phone said if we wanted... More
