Solid pub meal with good service

My wife and folks chose this place based on the reviews and also because there is not much on offer in Carnarvon and we could walk here from where we were staying. We ordered the lamb cutlets x 2, which were served old school in a decent crumb and with a good sized serve of mash, gravy and greens... read more

Had a meal here this evening. Partner had a grilled seafood basket that was mostly cold including the chips. It included 2 burnt crab balls that were inedible. My meal of grilled red snapper was only luke warm and included an under cooked potato gratin. I despair of ever being served a hollandaise sauce that doesn't come out if a... More

Sad to say we were too late. Bought some refreshment from the bottle shop. Such very pleasant staff. So very helpful. Basically no food in Carnaravon after 2pm.

Food was OK. Nothing special processed chicken schnitzel. Beer was cold. Good location and staff friendly enough. Just OK.

Went to dinner and ordered at 7.10pm. Food was finally delivered at about 9.10. A 2 hour wait for food that was less than average. Me and my partner ordered the chicken BLT. Tasted terrible and the chips must have been cooked when we ordered 2 hours before. We both ended up with food poisoning!! Other diner had prawns which... More

Ordered chicken schnitzel, looked like something we could have bought ourselves from a supermarket.Seemed processed, not fresh. Service wasn't that flash either.

Following the other reviews on TripAdviser we decided to have dinner here. Whilst the setting is nothing to write home about it is functional and clean,if not a little tired. The food when it came was tasty and well presented. Sadly it took an hour to receive our food, with later arrivals being fed before us. Upon enquiring as to when... More

good food and variety on the menu at the adjoining restaurant, but service a little slow at busy times. Great atmosphere in bar area. Would definitely return :)

Went with group with no reservation, staff were friendly and accomodating. Average/tired decor and fittings but good menu and food. My second visit and specials board was completely updated with local seafood included in the choices. See photo. Big meals done well with lots of fresh salad or vegies. Gluten free marked on menu. Open kitchen. Recommend this if you're... More

Food was good and had a reasonable menu. I thought there would have been more seafood options being in Carnarvon.
