Went out for our wedding anniversary with the family and all meals except the steak was lovely. This puts a damper on the evening when the most expensive was tough and not enjoyable at all. My husband took this back to the staff and nothing was said or suggested. We were not expecting money just acknowledge that it was not... More

I attended a wedding reception on Saturday 4th September , held at the cumberland hotel. I was very impressed with the meals and service. Meals are great value , kids meals fantastic. I had a family function comming up on the 19th October, so booked the hotel for lunch. we had 28 family memebers attend. Staff were again freindly and... More

The staff at the bistro were very friendly and efficient. we felt very welcome. The meals here were huge and really delicious...my salmon was cooked perfectly. The kids meals were also fantastic. We look forward to visiting again. Highly recommended.

Try not to eat here. Sign at the entrance says 'salad bar'. Not so. I had a chicken parmy that was terrible, served with raw chips and half a cherry tomato. Avoid at all costs.

We dined here with our son and his girlfriend, and have to say out of the 4 meals, not one of them was very good. Our son and his girlfriend both had parma's which were completely soggy and drowned in 5 times as much sauce as was needed. My husband asked for a 'medium rare' steak which came out 'well... More

Really and truly... I recently had the best "warm Chicken Salad" in the known world, here at the Cumberland Hotel.... absolutely fabulous! My husband had the roast beef dinner... which was decent and good (not 5-star, but nonetheless still ample and tasty)... and we shared a sticky date pudding that was simply amazing. Great place! Check it out.

It is not too flash, in fact a run down old pub dressed up. Fact is this is an old pub dependent on egm's. not the best by any stretch......

Acceptable value, well prepared and presented meal. I had the lambs fry and salad and it was well worth it. The choice of meals was good and from what I observed of other diners they appeared to be good portions, and just as appetising. The only downside would be that the premises was quite noisy, however I will be happy... More

Ordered the beer battered fish and chips for $23 - for a pokies venue I would have expected the meal prices to be at least a few dollars cheaper. When the meal arrived, it was clearly crumbed fish from a birds-eye packet. It had been flash fried to the point that the fish was dry and hard as a piece... More

The Cumberland bills this as a "bistro". I am still choking over that description. The "bistro" area is large and soul less - think canteen with carpet. Food is bottom end pub style, with no vegetarian options, other than the salad bar in the middle of the room. Having said that, they were happy to leave the bacon out of... More
