If you want traditional local roast beef and trimmings then look no further. Good portion size with tasty beef and a good number of fresh vegetables. Keep it up.

We were here on Folk Music night. Glad we were. Ate here 18 months ago and we were not disappointed this time either. Good food, good value, good everything.

Once again, enjoyed a very nice meal in this super pub on Tresco. Each of the 6 of us had different main course and no-one had any complaints at all. Vegetarians well catered for, as were the fish eaters! Puddings were enormous and divine as usual. Pricey - but of a very good standard. If you sit outdoors or in... More

After a gentle walk from the quay I stopped in here for a lunch inside as outside was full. Good looking garden full of older people being fussy. The staff are very attentive and polite , they need a medal for putting up with obscure requests from from the wonderful English on holiday. If you have so many intolerances why... More

Having paddled from St Mary's we arrived on Tresco around 3pm and starving. Entered the New Inn which was very pleasant and the beer garden was busy. Ordered a drink and asked to see the food menu, got handed this with nothing but baguettes on offer. Very pricy I will add but thought they would be value for money. The... More

Having dined and wined extremely well on my first and last visit in 2013, I was sadly disappointed in the menu this year. No crab claws! No game!! Very poor salads. I did discuss this with the management and hope it will improve for my next visit! Otherwise it is a friendly attractive place and offers a wonderful spring break... More

This is a very nice pub and offers a good selection of beers and food, we had light bites for lunch and both the scotch egg and the Welsh rarebit were excellent well cooked and flavoursome

The New Inn is an ok pub and garden. Pleasant enough and quite enjoyable eating in the garden, weather permitting. It gets very busy and prices are quite steep. The bar is interesting largely fitted out with wood reclaimed from one of the shipwrecks off the Isles some years ago. Located very close to the sea at New Grimsby but... More

Good above average restaurant food with smaller pub type meals available also. There was always a daily specials menu which often reflected the local catch or produce. As the only pub on this small island it is quite busy at both lunch and dinner but the service was excellent at all times. As a resident we were able to eat... More
