Great place for coffee and lunch and also just for drinks outside in the early evening but on Saturdays in the summer the Tapas and Guitar nights are great fun and worth booking.

Beautiful setting overlooking the beach, weather hot so sat outside. We decided to have the Tapas which was great, we had anchovy on toasted bread, mushroom with goats cheese, hallumi cheese, chorizo in red wine, hot tomatoes with feta and tortilla. It was one of the nicest tapas we have had and very reasonable. All very tasty. The staff were... More

Sat down to be told no beers and the food was tasty but over priced. And surly waiter Why we know what it's like to live and work in Cornwall the service all around Cornwall is not great having lived here 17 years it's seems that it's all about the tourist trade Never mind the locals, it needs to get... Richard, our waiter, served us at a table outside where we had a splendid view over the bay and out to see. At Porthcressa beach just away from the Main Street of Hugh Town. We enjoyed the Avocado salad Italian Pocket .. Fresh, great dressing and really tasty. Add the Peroni and so perfection. Very reasonable prices.

Lovely location for outdoor dinning BUT the place was unable to provide everything on it's menu because items were out of stock, for instance they had run out of beer by late afternoon. The only food they could provide was their version of Tapas which would have been okay if it wasn't totally overpriced. Clearly an establishment that thinks it... More

This should be one of the best places to go to on St Mary's - after all it is right on the beach and has views to die for. The menu is good and imaginative, both for food and drinks. We had coffee and lunch a couple of times during our visit. It was very nice. However on both occasions... More

A good starter - the baked mushroom and goats cheese. Main course of fillet steak - one was good the other was full of sinew - a disappointment given it's excellence in previous visits. The boiled new potatoes with the fish were very undercooked. The table surface was sticky - not a great start to a week on St Mary's.... More

Now I have to start out by saying that as we arrived at this gorgeous tapas cafe on St Mary's, it was the hottest day of August and the cafe was packed. They were short staffed and the waiters were having a little bit of a meltdown but once they had taken a deep breath, they served us with kindess... More

What a great name for a revamped fire station turned restaurant. Great location. Morning coffee and afternoon tea great. Our evening meal choice was tapas and we were not disappointed, in fact the chorizo dish was probably one of the best we have ever tasted. House carafe was acceptable, service was prompt, attentive waiters.
