Best pub in Scilly, perfect for an evening boat trip

Having recently visited all of the pubs in the Isles of Scilly, the Turks Head comes out on top. Most friendly and efficient service by a long way, beer well kept and a good selection. Food, I had the pork belly, was excellent, nicely presented and tasty. Looking forward to going back some day to... read more

We had a lovely dinner at the Turks Head last Saturday! With stunning views to die for, and warm sunshine the evening was perfect! We sat out side on picnic benches ate our dinner then strolled around the island at a leisurely pace before catching the supper boat back home to St Mary's. The service at the pub was excellent.... Very busy pub, normally come for lunch but came for evening meal. The food was cooked fresh and served hot very tasty too. The "turks head ale" is very good, the barrel ran out and a fresh one put on and served within minutes, a full pint !!!! Would recommend and will revisit, would suggest booking a table for evening... Wonderful pub with amazing home cooked food. Sat outside overlooking the sea in probably the in most tranquil position in England!! The sticky toffee pudding is to die for as well. Friendly family run, I could go on, but I think you get the message that this is a true gem and a must if you go to St Agnes.

One of my favourite places in th World. Fantastic views with a cold pint. Foot isn't great value but is tasty enough. Friendly staff.

Took the boat from St Mary's at 2 pm walked on St Agnus and Gugh until 6pm in for a pint and food 9pm boat back. Good beers in season cider choices, food very tasty good portions, excellent service happy to chat in quiet times, great location by the quay so you can wait for the boat to come in.

We visited the Turks Head after a long walk around the island. Although it was a warm day and my wife partook of some Betty Stoggins, I could not resist the Hot Chocolate with St. Agnes brandy (made in Australia), well you can't have everything on a small island. The pasties were tasty, so I can only assume that previous... More

The Turks Head was indicative of the Island in that it was welcoming and friendly. We ate here on several occasions in the evening and once at lunchtime. On each and every visit the food was great, the welcome warm and the beer lovely. They are plenty of nooks and crannies to cosy up inside on a chilly evening, while... More

Arrived on St Agnes after a bird watching trip around Annet Island - seals, sea birds & yes, some Puffins at sea. Wanted lunch so dropped in here - the most south westerly pub in Britain! Wife & I both had excellent 'original' pasties, very tasty & lots of meat & vegetables in a crusty pastry. Quite filling. I had... More
