The set menu here is completely wonderful, very tasty and delicious. As a vegetarian, we struggled with the understanding, but all worked out ok

We stopped here for a quick lunch. The location is lovely in the heart of a big square in Saint Emilion. Overall service was friendly but poor. One Meal arrived 25 minutes before the others so we decided to leave. I would recommend this for drinks and taking in the ambience of this lovely town.

Amelia Canta became our 'go to' restaurant in St Emilion. A very good location in the central lower square looking up to the rock face and walls of the old church. We had two breakfasts and one dinner in Amelia Canta over a weekend. We kept going back because of it's excellent food and location and very friendly service (with... More

I visited the Amelia Canta in St Emilion July 2014 for a drink and nibbles with my family. It was overpriced anyway but the staff were rude and lazy. Deliberately slow to pick up the bill after paying to encourage you to walk away without your change.

I made the mistake of ordering fish, the Dorade that was old and overcooked. It was served on top of some vegetables in sauce which I found inedible. The lemon sorbet (why do they call it sherbert in a French restaurant?) was okay, but the menu suggested it was served with a macaroon soaked in vodka. No, the sorbet was.... More

Went with a French colleague for diner. Food is okay, nothing more nothing less. Service is not like you would expect. Takes a long time and they look bored when taking orders.

Came here twice. Once for a coffee, where we found he service to be ridiculously slow. The second time we just stopped for a light lunch and received excellent attentive service and food. Maybe it was a bad day before... It wasn't busy so I assume that it was just unlucky for us!

For Americans used to "service non-stop," it's been hard to get used to restaurant hours. First we find that l'Alcove is closed d/t the Easter school holidays then we are unable to go to Lard & Bouchon because we got there too late (just before 2 PM). Ameila Canta and the restaurant that is catty corner from it but has... More

Without doubt the worst & totally inedible French cuisine that I've ever experienced. Great location and perfectly ok friendly service but the entrecôte was impossible to cut with a steak knife, let alone eat. It was returned to the kitchen but Madame found it difficult to accept, saying that another guest had eaten all of hers. Well we certainly wouldn't... More

A very nice location in Saint Emilion, in a scenic square in the middle of the village. A busy and touristy place. I guess that is why service was quite slow and impersonal, however we were rewarded by the views, Food was quite good, it definitely lacked the wow factor, nothing authentic about it. Drop by if you re hungry... More
