The location is lovely as it is in the centre of the town. However, if you are foodie, I would suggest you to go somewhere else. While my friends ordered set lunch, I decided to treat myself better and picked my favourite dishes from the a la carte menu. I ordered a foie gra terrine, an onion soup and steak... More

Sitting in the shadow of the 'Clocher de l'eglise Monolithe' Amelia Canta is a great spot to sit and watch the world and Saint Emilion go by, grab a coffee or something a little stronger, then sit and soak up the atmosphere of this beautiful town. Service was attentive although we had to make our intentions very noticeable, and getting... More

Located in a square in St. Emilion, this nothing fancy restaurant served up a great cappuccino and a very good galette for breakfast. They served quickly and with no fan fare, not that I was looking for any. The staff was pleasant so we were pleased with our quick breakfast.

The set menu here is completely wonderful, very tasty and delicious. As a vegetarian, we struggled with the understanding, but all worked out ok

We stopped here for a quick lunch. The location is lovely in the heart of a big square in Saint Emilion. Overall service was friendly but poor. One Meal arrived 25 minutes before the others so we decided to leave. I would recommend this for drinks and taking in the ambience of this lovely town.

Amelia Canta became our 'go to' restaurant in St Emilion. A very good location in the central lower square looking up to the rock face and walls of the old church. We had two breakfasts and one dinner in Amelia Canta over a weekend. We kept going back because of it's excellent food and location and very friendly service (with... More

I visited the Amelia Canta in St Emilion July 2014 for a drink and nibbles with my family. It was overpriced anyway but the staff were rude and lazy. Deliberately slow to pick up the bill after paying to encourage you to walk away without your change.

I made the mistake of ordering fish, the Dorade that was old and overcooked. It was served on top of some vegetables in sauce which I found inedible. The lemon sorbet (why do they call it sherbert in a French restaurant?) was okay, but the menu suggested it was served with a macaroon soaked in vodka. No, the sorbet was.... More

Went with a French colleague for diner. Food is okay, nothing more nothing less. Service is not like you would expect. Takes a long time and they look bored when taking orders.

Came here twice. Once for a coffee, where we found he service to be ridiculously slow. The second time we just stopped for a light lunch and received excellent attentive service and food. Maybe it was a bad day before... It wasn't busy so I assume that it was just unlucky for us!
