Good food but nothing unexpected

One of the few restaurants that serve you before 7pm. Food was somewhat stuck between good and average. We had the galette, pizza and crepes. The waiters were kind and helpful. Price was reasonable. Basically a nothing out of the ordinary restaurant.

We had lunch in the courtyard by monolith church, and it was very good. The wait staff was friendly and prompt. My omelette with ham, cheese, and mushrooms was excellent, and my wife enjoyed her salad. At a table next to us someone ordered an escargot salad that looked incredibly good.

We were on a private wine tour and were given an hour to eat in St. Emilion on our own. We chose Le Bouchon and told our waiter we were on a time limit. He was most attentive and we were able to eat a 3 course lunch with wine in the time allotted. The duck was delicious and it... More

It is difficult to choose a restaurant when walking around St Emilion, but this turned out to be a good one! What a great wine list, even offering some tasting options. We enjoyed duck breast and lamb shank and both of our dishes were very tasty, served with fries prepared in an interesting way. The waiting staff seemed to rotate... More

Service was disorganized and inconsistent. The young servers knew no English so there was no help with the menu. As a result, my wife order the carpaccio, which essentially was a large lettuce salad lined with thinly sliced raw beef ( the wait staff said the beef was "roasted" ) The two servers could not explain this, so my wife... My wife and I are staying in at the Chateau Grand Barrail , 3.4 km's from the restaurant . Dinner tonight was great. I had 9 oysters for 13 euro the where nearly as good as our Bluffy's. Following was the best lamb shanks I here ever had , slow cooked for 10 hours. Highly recommend for a well priced... More

we were lured into this restaurant with the playful wait staff around the entrance - and we were very pleasantly surprised . the service was very prompt and they also ran a smaller place close by so we were able to peruse two menus. we started with the vegetable soup which was thick tasty and appetising - it was a... On a cool spring evening we managed to get a table inside the restaurant. Our waiter was friendly and so energetic, he made me feel less tired after a very long day of travel. The food was delicious. I had a vegetable soup for a starter and my husband the trio of foi gras. The foi gras would have been... More

We were wandering through this delightful town on a cold and wet evening after eight hours of driving and wondering where we should eat when a young lady approached us and 'sold' us her restaurant. It was a great choice. Wonderful menu and wine list and really good service. We ate Mille feuille de crabe followed by the most perfectly... More
