Friends recommended that we try this small restaurant when we visited Saint Emilion. Are we ever thankful that they did! Getting to the place is a little bit of a challenge as the street that it is on is a very steep cobblestone pedestrianized street, complete with a much-used hand railing down the center. Once there though, the meal was... More

Perched on a very steep street and tucked into the hillside, this is a beautiful little restaurant. We ate in the cave in the back--an intimate dining spot. The food was first rate, the service helpful and warm. Great sense of place on the menu and in the setting. The wine list is small but well chosen.

We had a great diner at this restaurant! They provide both seafood and a steak meat menu and both are very good and quite original, a beautiful display. Professional service, but people there are very friendly, so you will feel very comfortable and can have a very nice, comfortable time. The wine they proposed was a gorgeous, but not too... More

Wife and I had a long lunch on a Saturday. Reserved a table for 2 inside right next to the wine room and had the most wonderful Menu Gastronomique ... 3 courses with 3 lovely complimentary additions. Entrees of a panfried foiegras and another of langoustines ... both superb and mains of a half pigeon and a fillet of beef... More

We made a reservation based on reviews on here and were not disappointed. The Menu Terroir was great value. We were welcomed in and from then on the service was attentive and friendly. The food was lovely and the wines, of course, were very good indeed.

When you go to St. Emillion, walk down the steep little street called Rue de la Tente. About half way down you will find a beautiful little restaurant called Restaurant Le Tertre. Do stop here and enjoy a lunch or dinner. We stopped for lunch and were so happy we did. Upon our arrival the owner, Jean Claude, warmly welcomed... More

All dishes were served to perfection: taste and presentation. Service was kind, friendly and careful. On top of the gastronomic menu, we were offered small entrées and coffee comes with typical sweets, almost like another desert

We dined outside at a table on the front steps of the restaurant which is a quaint romantic location. The food was typical French and quite good. The service was excellent. I have eaten here a couple if times through the years and it has always been consistent.

very attentive, well appointed, "fine dining" type restaurant, with good staff- friendly and efficient. Both husband and I had the Menu de Terroir which was good value for its quality

The service and food was excellent. The location in an old cellar and it's street location would be very hard to surpass. An extensive wine collection and knowledgable waiters helped make a very enjoyable evening..
