This is our third visit to Restaurant Le Tertre in the picturesque town of St Emilion. We had previously enjoyed a romantic lunch a deux on the tiny but pretty terrace last summer. That experience left us confident enough to return this summer, taking four friends who are used to dining in exclusive restaurants. Monsieur, Le Patron greeted us cordially... More

Perfect for a cosy intimate night. Classic Bordeaux menu partnered with polished service. Would I go back? Not sure.

The French food was quite good, but avoid the eating in the wine cellar area. Our party of four thought being seated surrounded by wine bottles was cozy and quaint. It loses its charm after about the tenth time the wait staff has pushed by to grab a bottle of wine to serve another table.

Dinner was very good. Classic French , good ingredients simple but sophisticate . I had oysters and duck, others sampled the steaks , veal , fish. All very good. The staff are knowledgable and helpful in a restrained way. The wine list was massive and intimidating but when we asked for advice we got some vert good recomendations . It's... More

We stumbled upon this place on what seemed like a 45 degree inclined cobbled street in Saint-Emilion and enjoyed an amazing dinner. I was feeling adventurous and had the Escargot (snails) and they were tender and delicious. My main was the Coq-au-vin which was ok but not amazing. The wine selection was good, with both reasonably priced and ridiculous vintage... More

We decided to change into smart attire for this restaurant, but the effort was wasted. We rolled up only to be served by a male waitress who acted like we should have served him. Very rude and unwelcoming...this is the kind of place that gives France its stereotype. After finally being seated, we weren't asked if we'd like to order... More

Me and my husband sat outside the restaurant as it was full inside, it was cold but the restaurant have me a blanket for my lap! The food was lovely, we had the set menu. The wine was of course lovely. The service was the best we had in France on our trip.

Our dinner at this restaurant this evening was absolutely superb. Every dish had subtlety of flavor, beautiful ingredients, and was beautifully presented.

A small and friendly restaurant which you should be sure to book for to avoid disappointment. It is more expensive than average but worth every single euro!! Our meal and experience from beginning to end was sensational. Beautiful food, amazing flavours, presented to appeal and excellent value. We opted for A la Carte and were not disappointed. We shared langoustines... More
