Good stuff for lunch

Flag's is always a good place to stop. They have a lot of great beers on tap, and their lunch menu is quit extensive. I tried their Oriental Chicken Salad yesterday, and they gladly made the substitution I ask for (plain broiled chicken instead of fried-up sliced). It was a very good salad, and the... read more

On a snowy Saturday night my husband and I decided to stop at Flaherty's. Usually we go to the one in Macedon closer to home. The last time the menu had changed again and was back to more of our liking. Well it had changed again and was more limited. Very few actually dinners, loaded with salads and some burgers... More

I've been here a few times for lunches for different events. The food is average, the menu is pretty plain, and the service is normal. They really need to figure out something special otherwise I'd rather go to McGregors since they offer better food and beer but are farther away. The prices are a little bit higher than the value... This place changed the menu, still mostly the same stuff. I ordered the stew as I have many times before, the waitress asked us if we wanted additional bread because the stew is now served in a bread bowl. Funny it was not listed on the menu. Why??? It should have been. (Personally I don't like bread bowls), let alone... More

The wife and I were in town to meet a friend and he suggested Flaherty's. It was mid week and we were quickly seated. We ordered a bottle of wine and the calamari. Wine prices seemed very reasonable and the selection was fine. The calamari was ok, nothing special but it hit the spot as we were hungry. I had... More

Had not been here in years and decided to eat there last night. Good variety of appetizers, salads, sandwiches and entrees. London broil very tasty. Fresh dinner salads and hot rolls. I had onion soup - broth good, but a bit too much cheese for me. Can be a bit noisy. Will return to try some other entrees.

I had the exact opposite opinion today of most folks; our food at Flag's was pretty good, but the service really lagged behind. All three of us had wings, which they make very well. But trying to get our waitress's attention for a drink refill, or to get the check took quite a bit of waving. I kind of felt... More

Stopped in for a casual dinner but found it very disappointing. The dinner salads consisted of ice berg lettuce and not much else. The Cobb salad had no avocado. It seemed that the quality of the food was lack luster .

We recently visited Flaherty's. The food was OK. The service was great. Value of food was great. Walked in with no appointment. Service was good.

Many menu items - Most very tasty - But I come back to meet friends in the bar, have Cajun Wings and a cocktail (or two). Mmmmmmmm Good. Live music at times (if you're lucky, a local bluegrass band will stop in and play) and always some nice hot salty popcorn in the bar area. Try the Manhattan. You can... More
