Description: Notably the last restaurant on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware before entering Ocean City, Maryland, Delaware may have saved the best for last. The award winning Fenwick Crabhouse has been an icon in the resort for almost 50 years. Though being named a “favorite seafood dive in the US” for an unprecedented fourth straight year by Coastal Living Magazine, the Fenwick Crabhouse is hardly a dive. While the atmosphere is casual, they have an appealing menu of carefully prepared meals catering to a variety of tastes. You will find great wines, craft beers, their hallmark “The Perfect Crabcake” (NY Times), Delaware Magazine’s 2011 “Best Ribs,” and of course, those wonderful steamed crabs. Their mission is to provide a unique blend of creatively prepared dishes using fresh, locally grown foods and awardwinning beverages to the table.

This has been in Fenwick for 30+ years. They have to be doing something right to last this long. Not a foody place but very good down home seafood dinners. Crab cake and deep fried scallops are the best in our opinion. Are they going to get it right every time, nope. Maybe just a little pricey for the atmosphere... More

We went to this crab house on a recommendation of another tracker at our hotel. It was great! We went for the all you can eat crabs and being it was toward the end of the season luck would have it, they ran out of the medium and large crabs the night before, but what a surprise when we ended... My wife and I had dinner here. With 2 entrees and 2 beers, the cost of our meal was $75. It was not a good value. My crab imperial was decent. My wife's deep-fried soft shell crab was terrible. My mashed potatoes were cold to the touch. This was an average meal for us, at best.

Returned to the Fenwick Crabhouse after a great experience last year and was terribly disappointed. 4 folks ordered the rockfish entree which arrived so overcooked it was all curled up. One order of the crab-stuffed lobster tail dinners was served without the lobster tail! All the sides were lukewarm or ice cold. The worst part was when the manager came over... More

Went here for dinner with my mother. I ordered Crabcakes, nothing to write home about for the price. They arrived COLD! The side of vegetables was good, but also cold! We were in a room with a few larger families with loud children who were moving about the area. It would be better to be in a separate area for... More

Food is always great. However, the prices seem to be a bit high especially since it is a crab house atmosphere and not a fine dining establishment.

This restaurant has been around forever, and always seems to be very busy at dinner time. Went for my 2nd time here for all you can eat crabs. They were very good, not huge, but definitely had my share. Also included with the crabs is fried chicken, jambalaya and corn on the cob, so much food. It is pricey, but... More

Went there with my aunt and mother. We were told about the place by a local mini golf owner. Said all the locals go here. They dont take reservations but we called ahead before we came around 7 and were immediately sat at our table. The owner came by and chatted for a few minutes and was very nice. Servixe... More

We tried this establishment for the first time and found it to be pretty good. From the white butcher paper tablecloths ( with the mandatory crayons to keep kids like me occupied till the food arrived) to the TGIF decor with a old bay twist. Big bowls of mussels steamed in wine, butter, and lemon, simple but good fried seafood... More

I had been there ten years ago and enjoyed. This visit was disappointing. Besides the outrageous prices, by 8pm they were out of crabs, out of crab ravioli and our waitress told us they were low on crab cakes. They had plenty of fried chicken. Maybe they should change the name to Fenwick Fried Chicken house. My advice is drive... More
