Price range: $16 - $35
Dining options: Lunch, Dinner
Description: Notably the last restaurant on Coastal Highway in Fenwick Island, Delaware before entering Ocean City, Maryland, Delaware may have saved the best for last. The award winning Fenwick Crabhouse has been an icon in the resort for almost 50 years. Though being named a “favorite seafood dive in the US” for an unprecedented fourth straight year by Coastal Living Magazine, the Fenwick Crabhouse is hardly a dive. While the atmosphere is casual, they have an appealing menu of carefully prepared meals catering to a variety of tastes. You will find great wines, craft beers, their hallmark “The Perfect Crabcake” (NY Times), Delaware Magazine’s 2011 “Best Ribs,” and of course, those wonderful steamed crabs. Their mission is to provide a unique blend of creatively prepared dishes using fresh, locally grown foods and awardwinning beverages to the table.

The food was excellent, however due to Hurricane Arthur they were out of crabs. Our server was good. The table we sat at the air conditioning blew directly on so I froze the entire time. We could have asked to be moved (others did) but it didn't seem worth it.

My family and I loved it! My husband had the crabs and I had the lobster. Just delicious. It was my favorite restaurant during our vacation.

Food was good..service was the worst ever. Would go back for food only. Stopped on our way back from the beach at a reasonable time. Was not over crowded. Did not have a great drink menu.

We enjoyed a spur-of-the-moment lunch on our way home from vacation...ordered delicious soft crab BLT that came with awesome chips. Our server, Anna, was terrific. She was friendly and attentive. We worried that there were no other customers when we arrived at 2pm, but two tables filled as we ate. It had been years since we dined there, but the... More

We came here after being referred by the owner of our rental house. Very casual place with interesting beach decor. My 16 month old son loved the moving train and coloring on paper tablecloth. Pretty good menu options. Food took kind of long but was well worth it. Definitely a place to check out!

Stopped in around 5:00 p.m. on a Saturday. Very few people in the dining room, but the bar area was full. Waitress was very friendly and helpful. I had the crab sauteed in butter with roasted vegetables, which was outstanding. My husband had jambalaya, which he said was good, but not spicy enough for him. After tasting my crab, he... More

The crabs were fat and the beer was cold! The service was decent, it took a little while to get our food but it was a busy weekend. Try to always stop here when I visit Fenwick

Excellent food! The BEST crab cakes in Delaware or Maryland. Our family prefers Fenwick Crab Cakes over any restaurant in Baltimore, Washington, Maryland or Delaware. Love the scallops, caught off the coast of Md/De. Never had a bad meal. A must try restaurant.

Over the weekend our friends introduced us to the Fenwick Crabhouse. My husband loves steamed crabs but it isn't my favorite, but I went along with the decision. We all shared the crab dip and the blackened scallops which were to die for. I had their home made crab ravioli and my husband--to my surprise -- saw someone's rack of... More

For those who think crab cakes are mostly filler, please think again. These crab cakes are succulent crab. The scallop appetizer was recommended, and well worth it, especially with our coupon off. My husband had the tuna with Cajun seasoning and rice--so tasty! When you arrive, you receive a small bowl of spreadable cheese flavored with horseradish. We found the... More
