We have been to the Lobster Shanty several times and have never been disappointed. We have always had great service and great food. We usually have to wait for a table to become available but it is worth the wait. On our last visit, I had Nanny's Crab Cake sandwich with a side of French Fries and, of course, a... More

Although I spend a lot of time in the area, this was my first tip to the lobster shanty based on a recommendation from a friend. Great atmosphere, friendly staff and great simple food. My wife and mother both had a lobster roll and it looked great and the really enjoyed it, I had the grilled mahi tacos, they were... More

Had a nice table by the window, Ordered crab cheese friends, lobster roll and fish sandwich. Fries had plenty of crab but would have liked a sauce of some sort. Lobster roll was average but not melt in your mouth. I would go back and get the lobster casserole, that's what I saw most people eating,

First visit and definitely surprised. Good views almost always mean mediocre food. Not here - great ambience, sunset views, very pleasant server named Angel and excellent mix of food for land and sea lovers. Quahog chowder is amazing and did not disappoint as we have had it many times at their sister restaurant, Nantucket. Our table had filet mignon, lobster... More

I posted after a very poor review a while back - must have been a bad night. This time it was Sunday night - very busy, possible 1 to 1 1/2 hour wait but we stayed. Seated earlier - all 9 of us. Hostesses were great, Tiffany our waitress was outstanding, and the food well above our expectations - excellent.... More

What a great location- right on the bay with a beautiful view of the sunset. it's sheer paradise. We sat in the bar area and had 2 bartenders that were very friendly and quite knowledgeable about the menu. We started with wine and a fantastic soup,w which is a local favorite:Quahog & Scallop Chowdah. I'm not a soup eater, but... More

Recommended to come here by a friend and was so shocked by the terrible server we had. She was not helpful at all and I felt as did my family that we were inconveniencing her. My food and my family had lack of spicing/ salt and pepper. I was even sick up leaving the restaurant. We will not be back...

The lobster Bloody Mary was enough to get me in the door, but the lobster roll sealed the deal. Best lobster roll ever in OC area, and I am an aficionado. Great sunset views. Better service in the bar than at a table for us.

The restaurant had a very welcoming atmosphere with very friendly and attentive service. There is limited inside seating, so get there early or make reservations. The lobster and shrimp bisque was rich and quite full of yummy seafood. The lobster roll was very good, although not quite as delicious as The Lobster Shack in Maine (sorry Lobster Shanty). The Lobster... More

8 members of out family had dinner here tonight. Wonderful experience. Ordered a variety of entrees. 2 got the whole lobster, and shrimp dinner platter. One of these lobsters came with a half broken claw. The manager had no loose claws, so brought a full serving of lobster claw meat to replace the broken claw. Very good solution to the... More
