Visit this restaurant for a nice alternative to the higher priced meals at local hotels. Great atmosphere, friendly service, and good food.

First, I have no idea why previous reviewers found this place so difficult to find. Yes, it's up on a small hill, behind a shopping center. But there's nothing scary or intimidating about the short gravel road to this fun & special place. And you can't really miss it either -- there are signs and eventually you see a large,... More

What a dump! Dirty. Lousy service. Workers sit around and mock the drunken customers. Don't bother. I wouldn't eat there. Drink from the bottle because the glasses don't look clean.

We searched for a nice place, and got the impression that we found one but - the atmosphere that was calm and ease as we got in, changed in a second when one of the waiters liked the tune on the play list, and increased the music volume to a level that we couldn't have a talk. Than the food... More

Bedouin style tent, with pillows on the floor ( don't worry there are a couple of tables and chairs for the less adventuress), great atmosphere. My friends and I hung out for about five hours including drinks, dinner, some belly dancing (us and a woman we enlisted from the next table) and a huka. The service is so so but... More

We celebrated my son's Bar Mitzvah in Taj Mahal in April 2014. It was AWESOME!!! Everyone (we had 35 people) loved it there. The location and the view are amazing. The food is delicious! Sharon, the owner is so welcoming and accommodating. The price is great!!! I can't say enough! In addition, Sharon arranged the entertainment -- a drummer circle... More

We had lunch there. It was good. The place is decorated as a bedowee tent and part of the sitting is on low sofas on the floor. The food was very good. We had various grilled meat which include a variety of salads. The only down side is that there is no air conditioning. But since it is an open... More

My husband, daughter and I were staying at the Crowne Plaza and were looking for a restaurant that is the antithesis of the hotel buffet. This is really it. The food is fantastic and the ambience is that of a princely Bedouin tent with a view of the Dead Sea. The most direct route from our hotel on foot took... More

This place is really strangely located, off of a dirt road behind a small shopping mall. We tried to go two nights in a row and it was completely dark. We tried making an online reservation and left a number to confirm also... When we came he door was chained shut with foreign writing on the door and we decided... More

There are cigarette burns in cushions, a stray cat, menus are dirty. But the food made up for it all, especially side dishes were delicious. And very inexpensive too! The waiter was friendly and polite. A big minus is that while you can see the place from the main street, it's very difficult to find your way there (by foot)... More
