I hear great things about their German food, but I can't say I was impressed with their wines. Average wines but a nice atmosphere in the restaurant (if you can afford it).

We visited on a Saturday for lunch and took advantage of the days specials. Food was very tasty and exquisitely prepared. I had their meat strudel with mushroom sauce and it was wonderful. Portions were small but adequate for lunch. We each had a glass of one of their white wines, which were very good too. They have a lovely... More

We used to go there at least 6-8 times a year-the last time we visited we were greatly disappointed-The wait staff said that we could sit on the terrace (Which we love) and then said NO as the weather seemed inclement to her. She then gave us a nice table with a view of the lake and then promptly moved... More

Based on good reviews and suggestions from friends we decided to try Castel Grisch, during their Oktoberfest in which they have a German Buffet. Being that we like German food, had just been to Germany recently and loved the food, we were really looking forward to it. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. Their buffet was very overpriced (almost $30/person) and... More

We sat on the open deck on a beautiful fall day with a gorgeous view of Seneca Lake. We had the cheese fondue which was plenty for two and then we had the Grand Marnier Chocolate Cake and a Cherry Strudel. They were both very good. Would have preferred cake to be colder. All in all a wonderful relaxing lunch.

Great German food and desserts all in a gorgeous setting overlooking Seneca Lake. Finger Lakes winery with an excellent restaurant. Don't pass up the desserts - streudels and the lemon merengue pie.

We had lunch here out on the outside deck on a sunny day. The food, service and view were all top-notch. Would gladly return next time we are in the Seneca Lake area.
