Love this place!

Steaks are awesome, so are the special ribs & kraut. Don't really bother with anything else. This is an iconic place, the bar is a hoot (and a place were we racers regularly hang out). Food is acceptable and not ridiculously priced. Fun, lodgey atmosphere!

I have been going there for years and always find the food very good. The place gets busy so be prepared to wait. The barroom is interesting!

We get it. This is the type of restaurant where the "vibe and history" supposedly trump good food and good service. That sums it up. The food is at best average ... we had stuffed sole and turkey entrees. Sole was quite bad ... turkey not too much better. Prices were on the high side too.

We obviously did not read reviews prior to staying one night, thankfully not more. The owners of this place charge too much and obviously do not put back into their property to make it appealing. The desk women at night did not make you feel welcome. We stayed in November so breakfast and lunch restaurant was closed during the off... More

This is a place you have to experience to truly understand. It started as an archery competition place and has grown into lodging and a very popular seasonal restaurant. The log cabin style building houses the bar and restaurant. Good local craft beers along with a large selection of other well known beers and wines are available at both the... More

How bad was it? First: when we arrived at 4:50 PM we could not be seated even though the restaurant was empty because it was not yet 5PM 2nd: It was a cold and snowy day and it was very, very cold in the large open dining room. A lovely big fireplace dominated the room but it was not lit... More

If I could rate this place in the negative I would. We had a party of 9 and half of us were there, we were told we could not be seated until our whole party were there. I totally understood so we waited 8 minutes until the other car arrived. As they were walking to the door I told the... More

We spent one night at the lodge. Had dinner here and then breakfast in the morning. The food was wonderful. The service was great and we loved the atmosphere of this 1948 lodge. A real step back in time. Places like this just don't exist anymore. Highly recommended.

We visited on a sunday in September. The restaurant was full but we were seated quickly. We had to wait several minutes before our first coffee & menus were delivered. After ordering we waited, waited and waited. When our waitress returned we asked what was the delay in receiving our food. She stated they had several large parties and did... More

We were traveling through and decided to spends the night here at the lodge and for convenience we ate here as well. Our expectations were not high thinking the food would bd like camping food. We were pleasantly surprised. The salad bar was simple but fresh and tasty. The bread was great and their house salad dressing was fantastic. My... More
