I absolutely love Loulou!! They have fab food and while it seems all pricey, it really is not! The rates are the same as any other cafe in Stone Town except that the food here is really worth what you pay for it. The lady who runs it always pays a visit to the table and sometime they surprise you... More

We had dinner at Loulou's tonight and it was really good! The lamb was perfect and the chocolate mousse also :-) Unfortunately they haven't any beers from Belgium... But definitely recommended!

My wife and I visited this Belgian restaurant on the recommendation of Australian friends. It's located on a winding street not far from the beautiful beaches and maze of alleyways which make Stone Town such a fascinating place. We initially went there for lunch but enjoyed the experience so much that we went back again for dinner on the following... More

We have visited this restaurant during our stay in stone town and it was good. Nice food (mainly European/Belgian ) the restaurant was clean and the staff was very friendly. The owner itself came to introduce himself which was a nice touch. The portions were big, it took a while to get our food but I don't mind waiting for... More

Excellent food and excellent service. The starters was world class. We had 4 different courses and every one was satisfied. A must do if ever returning to Stone Town. Only down side was that outside dining is not possible.

Had a family lunch, with a dish that should please all the kids (steak frites). The setting is slightly austere, but the service was fast and friendly. The speculoos desert and the waffles were are spectular finish to our lunch, and while not on the cheap side, you definitely do not feel robbed when the bill comes. Overall, we would... More

We decided to try this restaurant while we were in Zanzibar. Since it was not too far of a night walk from the hotel Serena Inn and it was a bit scary walking after dark, this restaurant got the nod. Unfortunately, the food did not live up to the reviews. It was not terrible but nothing special. The décor was... More

Good service. Delicious starters. Reasonably priced wine. Fries, as you'd expect from a Belgian place were good - with proper homemade mayonnaise! But. But. But. The lobster dish was awful. Lobster is best served simply. Grilled or boiled. Any flavours should enhance but not flood the flavour. This was smothered in cheese, diced carrot, chopped zucchini/ courgette - and who... More
