I guess we probably got lucky as, along with the good food that everyone talks about on here, we also got good service. An additional bonus was that the waiter obviously thought we were OK and gave me the password for the wifi. There's a reasonably extensive menu and total cost for 2 was 23000 TSch - about US$15. Nice... More

We had a great meal here. The food was very good, when ordered. It arrived very fast. However, the service was poor. We had to go inside to order and then had to wait for someone to come out and take it. The girl serving us was rude and made no apologies. The king fish was really good as was... More

In short, this is a great stop for food after strolling around in Stone Town a few hours. The salad was fresh and very good, and the staff was both quick and nice. Nice outdoor seating to watch people go past.

Very much liked the spicy coffee . You won´t regret it. The attendants are nice and generous enough to share with you the recipe!

I had breakfast with my wife here while on honeymoon, it's a nice cafe on a bustling stone stone street. A big plus is the shaded seating area and air-con inside. Both of our breakfasts were nice, but nothing spectacular. My wife had the falafel wrap and while it was really tasty there wasn't enough falafel in it which was... More

This is a great place to pop into for a snack. We went several times during our stay in stone town for banana pancakes and jam toast, both of which cost no more than 2 pounds. There is a nice atmosphere and the staff are friendly. Unfortunately there is no WiFi though.

the falafal wrap was good but I would really recommend the fresh juices. Service was quick and friendly. The seating outdoors is lovely but you may receive some hassle from street sellers trying to hawk tourist trinkets.

We stumbled across this place at lunchtime, had grilled octopus with fries and an avocado salad, both were simple but really delicious. With soft drinks our lunch came to 28000tsh (approx £15). We sat outside. Service was friendly and attentive.

An unpretentious, simple, but excellent place to spend leisurely time reading, people watching and contemplating. Here this August, I always find time to while away a couple of hours at this laconic cafe. The coffee, served in an brass pot for pouring is local, fresh and excellent. Food is prepared with an simplicity and is always of very good quality,... More
