Good lunch spot

We both had the chicken schwarma for lunch and it came with a couple sides. That with a coke each was only $10. Also a good place to people watch.

- and most likely in Tanzania. In addition, the couscous (salad) was some of the best I've had - and I've lived in Morocco. Prices are OK too, midrange.

A pot of coffee enough for two is still a great choice when in this cafe. It is hot and maybe a bit crowded inside, and outside can be a bit too hot during the day, but generally it is very pleasant and the service is nice.

We enjoyed 2 luxurious nights at the Stone Town B&B, and opted to eat in the attached Cafe, more often than not! Food was delicious - lots of variety on both the Arab and regular menu - great service. The B&B room we had was wonderful and comfortable. The staff were very accommodating of our late check out. This is a great venue when you visit Stonetown and its many restaurants. Beware of the street vendors, they can be pests

Had a great meal here... fatoush was so fresh and delicious! My boyfriend had the falafel wrap, which I tried, and was very nice as well. The prices, service and ambience were all excellent. Would return again if in Stone Town!

Really nice breakfast available here and very good traditional coffee. There is no wifi though for those travellers seeking wifi. Otherwise it is a great place to relax and enjoy a nice breakfast.

Staff were friendly, service was good and food was delicious. Only downside was that cleanliness wasn't the best, but not bad enough to spoil the good food and nice atmosphere.

We went here on a recommendation from others in our tour group and were really disappointed. The idea of two different kitchens to cook different styles of food really appealed and allowed us to try something different. The service was extremely poor and it appeared we were inconveniencing the staff as they did not seem to want to help. Following... More

For the most part, my experience of Zanzibar has been that the people are friendly and make customers feel welcome. Stone town cafe was different. My sister and I had breakfast there and will never return or recommend it. Service was not only slow but appalling. The waitress stood looking at us without moving as we signaled repeatedly for assistance.... More
