It doesn't require much maths. to work-out that Freddie would have been rather young to have enjoyed much of the fayre here ! It is, however, a great place to eat and catch the views over the Sea; good food at a reasonable price.

A must if you visit Stone Town. A restaurant which pays homage to the dear departed Mr Mercury. Ask for a table that overlooks the beach.

Arrived on my last day in Zanzibar at Mercury's in Stone Town. Have eaten in the past and was very good. This time just a cappuccino before the ferry back to Dar es Salaam. Great Place to go to,

Quite a big restaurant and always busy with tourists. There is a terrace with the view to the sea. Good choice of local food that is tasty, variety of curry from mild to spicy. Moderate service and prices.

I left my hotel room hungry and headed to Forodhani Gardens for the much talked-about street food only to realise a bit too late that i didn't carry local TZ currency. In my search for a Bureau De Change i found myself in this building i would later realise, much to my delight, was the Mercury's Restaurant i had seen... More

Lovely restaurant with a direct view of the ocean. Right next to the sea port so it can be a little noisy. The wine was lovely, however the cocktails were expensive but really good. The barman was very friendly and allowed us to request for any type of music they had.

It was my 5th visit over few years to Mercury, a place which use to be vibrant with good fresh tasty food, unfortunately over the years I have seen the standard falling and this was most probably my last visit as I will not wait for it make me feel it is terrible. The restaurant has become one of many... More

One of the best locations for a restaurant in Stonetown being right on the beach front. We have dined there many times over the years but this year we felt it wasn't as good as usual. More lighting is needed as one can hardly see to see the meals, which were quite poor and expensive for what we had -... More

We enjoyed the relaxed ambience, friendly service, beers, food - generally the total experience. The menu is extensive so something for everyone. We tried the seafood and were not disappointed. The restaurant is right on the beach with lovely views of various boats and ferries.

Food was ok, but the location was incredible. Fantastic view of the ocean and remember to take a look at the giant and old baobabtree just opposite the restaurant!
