Go here, job done

Fantastic lunch in this quaint little restaurant on a lovely square. Happened upon the crab and coconut soup which was to die for. Excellent meal. Go here, eat and drink, job done!

i kind of hate writing reviews, but this place was so good, so reasonable, and so empty. Best food in Zanzibar by far (okay, except maybe Emerson Spice) But the chef was marvelous and the service was terrific. $100 for five of us with a bottle of champagne, deserts, etc.

We visited Monday night, early in June, so it was very, very quiet. We both loved our seafood choices and our dessert choices. Best chocolate mousse I have had in Africa! For Zanzibar, it is on the more expensive side, but the food was worth it!

Charming restaurant, on pretty square, friendly service, but only one of the four of us liked our meal.

Service is a little slow, but the food is good. Try the variety of Avo dishes and of course a Serengeti beer...

Based on trip advisor reviews we went specifically for the soup and it did not disappoint. Beautifully spiced, flavorful soup. We were also very pleasantly surprised by the other offerings. We split a tuna trio and prawn salad to start and both were very fresh, well seasoned and satisfying. Staff were attentive and friendly. Extensive wine list by comparison to... More

Our last night in Zanzibar we had dinner at Beyt al Salaam and I regretted not eating there every night. Loved this restaurant. I ordered the seafood casserole and I wanted more. Will definitely recommend it.

We ordered the coconut crab meat soup and it did not disappoint. It was very delicious! It was followed by a seafood casserole which was equally delicious! Service was good, friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable. I just wish they have outdoor seating!
