We stopped here because of the high reviews on TA. The place is an old building that has been remodeled, and the interior was adequate, reflecting a family-run diner that specializes in sandwiches, at least during the day. What struck us as odd was that the place was very dark. All the wall sconces were illuminating upward. There was no... More

This place is the worst watertown has too offer. The booth me and my wife were sitting at had Flies all over the place. Pretty sure some kind of health and safety regulations were violated. I would comment on everything else, but the fact we were sitting in a Fly Farm voids anything I had nice to say. Anyone that... More

We stopped there for lunch and can say anything bad about this place! The waitress was very friendly and attentive. The food was simple but made from scratch, well prepared and tasty. Plus it was good value for the money! Good stop over while traveling back home.

We went here on a recommendation from the clerk at the hotel. We couldn't believe how packed it was for a Sunday night. But the wait was really short, less than 15 minutes. Everyone in our family ordered Italian dishes and they were all good. Salads were good too. We were a little disappointed the bread served looked like white... More

We checked into out hotel in Watertown and had so many choices for places to eat. All the regular chains, Applebees, Bob Evans, etc, etc.I checked Tripadvisor and this restaurant was rated number 3. The online menu seemed very diverse so we ventured there. The atmosphere is rustic, the food and service were fantastic. Would definitely recommend this place to... More

Stopped for lunch and had quick, attentive service. "Red" chowder was good, with an abundance of clams, served nice and hot. Our "half" sandwiches were hearty and filling: turkey/provolone had moist and tender meat, and the ham/capicola/salami was savory and delicious on decent Italian bread, with chips, and a pickle PLUS pepperoncini! Good coffee and iced tea, as well. We... More

We were a hungry band of ten after a soccer game at nearby General Brown High School. It was a little late, but the Fairground Inn was still teeming with people. Our visit got off to a rocky start when our server appeared to be a little flustered and was having a tough time getting our order straight. When she... More

Recently stopped in at the fairgrounds inn for dinner & drinks with some friends. We were looking for a bar table & stay at the bar while we waited for a group to finish up. Our waitress was friendly & attentive to our table. I always love coming back to the fairgrounds when I visit watertown. The house dressing is... More
