A Fair Price for Fare

I think you're going to like this place. Our group had lunch there and all had the chicken parmesan. It's a large fresh chicken breast normally served on bread; I opted out of that and it was served on a plate with your choice of sides. This was perfect and filling but I saved room for a slice of... read more

My husband and I stopped by for lunch during the holiday season. We arrived early before the typical lunch crowd, so we sat in the bar area. The environment sold us immediately and the food just got it over the top. First off, the waitress was pleasant and knew several of the people there by name. She recommended a couple... More

I have been frequenting the Fairgrounds since the early 1980's. Annual visits from Canada with my parents as a kid have turned into annual visits with my own kids. We love this place. Atmosphere and food quality are great. Price is also right for families on a budget.

My first clue should have been that the pizza on the menu was at the back of menu like it was an afterthought. For $12 we got a pizza that was almost the exact duplication of frozen pizza. I am not sure why the sign out front advertises pizza but this is not something that they do well.

We loved Fairgrounds for years and ate in occasionally but got takeout there several times a month. Our visit in October will be our last. We had ordered a large (family size) antipasto salad to go, and when I picked it up I did not look at it, so I share part of the initial responsibility for the problem. This... More

Old school Northeastern Italian restaurant. Typical fare for a home style Italian cooking. I enjoyed it, but I wouldn't go out of my way to got there. It must be one of the best around, it was extremely crowded on a Tuesday evening.

I enjoy coming to the Fairground Inn because I don't have to be self conscious about my three, active (sometimes loud) kiddos. Everyone there is understanding-a true family atmosphere! The food is good enough, but quite honestly not the reason I come. And, I'm not going there for date night with Momma...I come when I don't want to cook and... More

Ate here on Saturday night with a party of 10. Despite the party size, we were seated quickly and we were well taken care of by our waitress. There are a lot of menu choices (!), pleasing everyone in our party. The food came out fairly quickly, was hot, and the portions were BIG! Everyone "rolled' out pleased with their... More
