Been going to the Crystal most all my life, so nostalgia may play a big part of my comments, but still love dining there. Food is so reasonable and good..never any surprises. The staff is friendly and it so much fun to see how they treat the regulars. When I say regulars, it is folks who eat there at least... More

The food is good, and the price us right. But that's not why you go to The Crystal. You go because it is right out of the twenties and thirties. It is literally a walk back in time. I can picture my north country ancestors sitting in the next booth. And it has a bar! A visit to Watertown without... More

Atmosphere is right out of the 1920's, "Boardwalk Empire" could have filmed here. Prices are more than reasonable, selection large enough to satisfy all. Some fish needs work (Cod Dry), but for the money you can't complain

Not much could have changed since 1919 except the prices and only a little. Coffee was only $1 and great!

This was a real trip back in time and you know it as soon as you walk in. The old timey signage out front and mosaic tiled floor are direct from 1920. This isn't a fancy place and doesn't need to be. There's a decent selection of domestic and imported beers, very affordable wines at $4/glass and a varied menu.... More

The Tom&Jerry's have us there every holiday season, but we are true die hard fans. My wife is a lover of liver with bacon and onions, for myself the sandwiches are the best anywhere. Even with limited parking on the square we would walk a mile!

The old-fashioned sign out front, and the notice in the plate-glass window: "All Legal Beverages" are definite hints to the time-warp you'll feel as you walk inside this classic downtown restaurant/diner that dates back at least to the 1930s. The Crystal's decor hasn't changed much over the decades, with tile floor and tin ceilings, a classic stand-up bar at the... More
