Always pretty good

We have been going to Schulers every so often over the years and have always had a good meal and a good time. There was one time it was ruined due to a lousy waitress, but she wasn't there long. I always get the seafood alfredo with the shrimp, scallops, salmon and broccoli, and am never... read more

my husband ordered a smothered king cut prime rib priced at $23.99 on the menu. when he got the bill, he was charged $29.00 for the prime rib and an extra $2.50 for the toppings. I called the restaurant when we got home and told whoever answered the phone. she told me that new owners had taken over and that... More

Simply put, we heard one of our favorite places had been sold, so we had to check out the new Schuler’s to see how it was going. The place looks about the same, maybe less cluttered, and as always, we were greeted by someone and showed to a table. I believe this was one of the new owners, because he... More

Poor service and food that tasted like it came out of the microwave. The owner/ manager was out on the floor greeting guests but was trying way too hard to sell the place. Prices would be reasonable if the food would have been better. I tasted all of the food in our three person party and everything was very bland.... More

Established neighborhood restaurant with a varied menu. Portions were more than expected, and carefully made by in house staff, including delicious cole slaw and a homemade, hand dipped fish breading on lake perch and a good sized piece of haddock. Fries were freshly cut, with skins on. Drinks are available. Dessert was just OK-sounded better than how they turned out... More

We visited on a Tues. evening. The place was about half full. It is a little dirty and on the shabby side, which does not bother me if the food is good, but it wasn't. We both had Lobster Bisque that had no chunks of lobster in it, just little specks, not worth the $5.99 for the small cup. The... More

The food is always awesome...pick blindly from the menu and you will be satisfied. Enjoyed the crab cakes...considering it is the north country it is top notch. I would eat here before I eat at any of the chains in the area. Menu has depth and variety. Taste and price are excellent.

Stopped by on the way back from visiting the Museum at Fort Drum. Had a great lunch. They have daily specials which include soup with your sandwich. Even enjoyed the homemade desserts.

Its been two years since we have been in this area and I feel my past review of this restaurant should be updated. We have eaten here three times in the last three weeks and had a very good meal each time. The restaurant has been updated just enough to maintain its old time atmosphere, that’s severely lacking in today’s... More
