We found the Green Island restaurant via Trip advisor and went there by taxi from Belle Mare in November 2014. They offer pick up service within Trou d'eau Douce. From the outside it does not look so special, but what’s really special is the friendly people working and owning this restaurant and the excellent food. Giovanni the owner has made... More

We enjoyed our family dinner on Xmas eve in this unpretentious place opposite the beach, simple but fresh local food, great Samosas, excellent currys and also normally fresh fish. The local fisher did not supply on our day of visit, but we will return as soon as the catch was good.... phone number on Tripadvisor is not correct: please dial... More

This is our regular getaway from our annual hotel stay. The menu is varied and the food is fresh and delicious. The owner/ host always welcomes warmly. Definitely our favorite spot for good food and a great, ambient night out. Recommended.

We love this Restaurant. Very friendly staff that will see to you. The best Mauritian food and drinks. The owners are fantastic. Beautiful view while having a great meal. Highly recommended. We will definitely come back to this awesome gem on the East.

This was our breakout restaurant after suffering one night of Tropical Attitude buffet and we ate here twice. Very friendly and welcoming and the food - particularly the fresh fish and seafood, was excellent. Its not cheap but way less than hotel prices. It is popular (largely with people staying locally in villas and apartments) so for a good table... More

Needed some 'proper' Mauritian food after the good, but boring food at our hotel. The restaurant even picked us up and took us back to our local hotel gratis. Friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Fantastic Prawn and chicken curry was very much enjoyed!

Been dining at Le Tousserock, but Indian style food equally as good here, and very friendly, would have no reservations about going back, OK not the same service as at a 5 star resort but it does have compensations.

Had an evening meal here with my wife for a change to our hotel and we both thoroughly enjoyed it. 2 starters , 2 mains , 2 glasses wine , 1 cocktail , 1 coffee . Bill - £51. We were picked up at our hotel and dropped back off , 2 complimentary vanilla rums. Chef went round each table... More
