Yes Le Pescatore's veranda is gorgeous, yes the service was impeccable and yes this was the best meal we had in Mauritius over a week long holiday. However, it is also a daylight robbery. The two michelin star prices (50$ for a crab millefeuilles starter) are completely unjustified and do leave a sour taste in your mouth. We paid the... More

We were staying at the Oberoi and fancied trying a different restaurant one evening for a change. We chose Le Pescatore based on TA, and because it wasn't too far from the hotel. Upon arrival we were pleasantly pleased, and luckily managed to secure the last table immediately overlooking the sea. It was dark, but the setting was very nice,... More

Le Pescatore was a hidden gem-of-place introduced to us by a friend , when we dined here two weeks ago. We were a group of 10 adults and children and were given an outdoor seating facing the sea-front. We really enjoyed the ambience of the place with its views of boats bobbing in the waters, to the accompaniment of the... More

The property is inside a gate with private parking. The restaurant is literally beside the shore with beautiful view of the sea and the night sky filled with stars. We dined at the terrace under a coconut tree. The best part of it is the food. Very good bread. Fresh products. Plates are done with passion and they are scrumptious.... More

A bit difficult to find, at the end of a small street, but then you have a great view over the sea and the boats. Ask for a table at the terrace! The crab was superbe and we can recommand the Buitenverwachting rose.

Under the previous owners this restaurant was a gem unmatched in charm, decor and food and a world class experience and no other restaurant in the world has charmed me like the experience I had here. I made the big mistake of going back. It was NOTHING like the restaurant I knew. The decor had been changed to a bland... More

We had a fixed price menu which was more than adequate because of the generous portions. The food was delicious. The dishes did not rely on presentation alone but on flavours and sauces that were subtle and distinctive . The octopus and swordfish were perfectly cooked . A highlight was a pre-starter of beetroot sorbet and some wonderful pickles and... More

Got engaged there yesterday! Everything was perfect; the atmosphere was very cosy and the staff well mannered. We were warmly welcomed by the owner as well. The food and the wine were excellent, nothing to complain about! I highly recommend this venue, it was an unforgettable experience :) Keep it up Le Pescatore!

A truly fine dinning experience . Each and every course was a treat , and what was most surprising was the size of the portions. For mains , our family enjoyed beef, line fish and tune, all prepared to specifications , presented as one would expect from a quality restaurant. Deserts included a creme brûlée as well as pineapple and... More

Fantastic restaurant with amazing views but at a huge cost to South African travelers. If you prepared to pay the high cost, it is recommended by us.
