Good little place but not really excellent - agree a little of a challenge to find but off the Royal Road - turn near La Pagode chinese restaurant and walk for about 10 mins past the bazaar and the restaurant is on the left Everything in restaurant is grey and white, or contrasting colour - tasteful decor. Only about 10... More

Ive taken some very close friends there and my night was just unforgettable especially because the food is AMAZING! I loved everything, well cooked and tasted amazing! I loved it so much that I decide to give as a gift a bit of my precious olive oil that I brough from Sicily!!! Thanks a lot for the amazing dinner

This small but special place is hidden in a busy street in the heart of Grand Baie. It was very quiet as we arrived but got busier as more people joined later in the evening. With friendly staff welcoming you the mini samoosas for starters soon arrived. All four main meals were well presented, tasteful and more than enough. The... More

I ate in this restaurant and have to say that the food I tasted made me sick. I tried the papaya gratin, which was undercooked and alcoholic. The owner pretended no alcohol was added but either they had put alcohol in the cream sauce and undercooked it, or they have kept the grated papaya for too long until it fermented.... More

See the locals doing their daily chores, while sitting on the outside patio. The service were good, owner attending to our table. Food was good creole food. Lots of fish/seafood options. Not top cuisine, but example of Mauritian food. Bit daunting to find, but once youre there , its all ok. Will recommend this little gem.

We arrived at the restaurant, they were still closed , but offered us outside seating. The service was good, owner herself attended to us. food arrived in good time. Presentation is good and taste good. Nothing extraordinary. If you don't mind eating in the middle of residential, suburbia, then this is good. Will recommend for a taste of proper Mauritian/Creole... More

Finally, we scucced to make a reservation to this cozy top ranking Restaurant in Grand Baie. We was served with a nice 2 cources dinner and of course it was fish on the Menu - as starter Tartar and main course Marlin Steak / Fish in Curry. Everything very fine and delicious and value for the spending. Only complaint is... More

As good as the Cafe de la Plage was bad; back on track with La Toque Blanche. Located off the main drag in Grand Baie, past the Bazaar. Unassuming from the outside but fresh and clean inside. The food was excellent and the service superb. 2 courses for 3 people for €50 including drinks. Highly recommended.

We followed TA advice. This was one of the best places we ate at in Grand Baie. Mainly fish/seafood, all fresh (no frozen as if often the case). French cuisine in style. The place is hidden in the back streets behind the bazaar, is a good honest family run place and nothing fancy in terms of decor. However the food... More

Some people recommend us this restaurant, so we went there. The restaurant is very small but has some charm. The service was great. Lovely welcome, complimentary mini samosas. The people are really nice and always smiling. I took the Tuna Tartare as entree and it was really tasty. I then tried the crab in wonton. The taste was not bad... More
