We enjoyed it

After a slow start when the waitress was on her own things improved. Good local food particularly fish well cooked and presented. Prices for food and wines are reasonable. Well worth a visit.

The setting is modest in their new location; the cuisine, an extraordinary blend of Mauritian creole and French, is superb. There is a home recipe for a type of orange cheesecake that is really world-class. This a a small family business and they take pride in preparing each dish. Since they obviously could accommodate more diners in their garden, the... More

This was recommended by our apartment concierge and proved to a worthwhile experience. We visited for lunch and almost had it to ourselves. We were keen to have some local Creole fare and this did not disappoint. The service was excellent, the food very tasty, and the prices very reasonable. We subsequently had other local creole meals elsewhere and they... More

On our second evening in Mauritius, we decided to try this romantic restaurant stimulated by the good reviews on tripadvisor. Well, it was so worth value that we came back twice more for dinner during our 11days holiday! the food was delicious, far better than the average, the service quick and attentive and the waiters always gentle and smiling. Don't... More

The food is not that great as it has been reviewed in other posts. Too much pepper and salt in the food. Service was okay, but there are other good places to go and eat.

Being a fan of La Toque Blanche on prior visits to Mauritius, I was eager to visit the restaurant again especially having heard that they had moved to larger, more glamorous premises. This is despite several warnings from friends that it was not up to prior standards. Sadly it was a very disappointing evening. Slow service, no sign of a... More

Not as difficult to find as suggested by other reviewers, its on the main drag between Mont Choisy and Pt Cannoniers with a bus stop near by. Pleasant mini samosas as canapes, My starter of crab gratin, was more gratin than crab but pleasant with the garlic bread. Wife's mielle fueille of veg. was uninspiring. My main of sausage creole... This was my first visit to this restaurant and on the basis of the food quality, I didn't hesitate one second to give it anything less than 5 stars. It was mid-week and as most restaurants very quiet - one more table and us. Service was attentive, the manager charming. Prices for what's on offer are very good value. Definitely... More

We had a very good dinner at La Toque Blanche and appreciated a lot their brand new address in Pointe aux Canonniers. The Villa is beautiful, the decor is simple but nice and and spaces are much more comfortable than the former address near the Bazaar. As always, the staff was very friendly and the owner very careful and ready... More
