Every year we drive up to meet friends from NYC who vacation for a week North of Lake George. This is their favorite and worth the extra miles to us. They have a relatively limited menu with only two or three specials, but everything they do is excellent. The Montrachet appetizer with melted goat cheese and red peppers is wonderful... More

We go to the Grist Mill whenever we are in Warrensburg. We have started to sit downstairs as we love to listen to the rushing water from the screened in porch. The food is always very good. It is quite pricey however, especially if you are downstairs you are sitting on plastic chairs. We shall go back next year however... More

I can appreciate the historic nature and location of the building. And, the service was friendly. Otherwise, for $28 per entree, I was very disappointed. The decor made the place look like the inside of the local historical society. I can overlook that. What I can't overlook is the poor food. To start with, a $9 glass of wine should... More

We make excuses to travel through Warrensburg, just to eat dinner at the Grist Mill. The site and atmosphere are wonderful, and the food is superb. Fine sauces, wonderfully constructed plates and a great menu range. Wish it were open more days during the week, but will take what we can get. Make a reservation, and try for the tables... More

Very nice restaurant on the river. Excellent food and the atmosphere is really special. Service was very good - entrees were actually served too soon - before we had finished our appetizers. All of the food was very good - fish, venison, and veal.

I try to go to the grist mill with my significant other at least twice a season, the food is always perfect. We tend to go there a little earlier in the evening or a little later, when it is less busy so we are able to enjoy ourselves that much more. The food is always cooked to perfection, and... More

The entrees that my husband had was the filet which was cooked perfect. I shared the rib eye with two others which was more the enough. Unfortunately it which supposed to be... More

It was like eating in a fine restaurant in NYC but without NYC prices and with friendlier service and with the beauty of the outdoors and a historic building at one's side. We were very impressed.
