My wife and I were given a gift card/certificate last Christmas to dine here, otherwise we probably wouldn't have ever dined here. It is a nice older place, with older town patrons. Even the wait staff are older folks. I'm pushing 50, and I felt too young to be here. The menu is not extensive, although they do have daily... More

skip this place for sure, the food is way over priced, premium price for bar slop. drinks over priced also. Nasty bar tender "Mike" no buy backs on drinks they act like your doing them a favor for coming in.Dirty bathrooms not good. Spend your money else where you will have more fun.

The Wantagh Inn has been my go to place for over four years now. The food & drinks are top notch. Along with a consistently great meal the people are what makes you go back time and time again. Mr. Dunphy (the owner) is as kind and professional as you can get. He is the definition of a true gentleman.... More

Wow...The veal and Jagerschnitzel are the best on the menu...Well made drinks and excellent food. The place is always packed. After dinner on Saturday nights catch the Band "Volcano". Gene is up there with Eric Clapton on guitar. John on bass is only second to Jack Bruce . Stu's vocals are great and the drummer is to notch. Standing room... More

Our reservation was honored for time call. Waitress was excellent and suggested a bottle of wine that was on sale at half the price of a caraf of wine. We had the steak and lobster tail special. It was very good. The only thing I would not suggest was The New England Clam Chowder soup.

The Wantagh Inn has been around for a long time.. Our recent visit was very enjoyable. Nice friendly feel with reasonably priced food. Salmon was delicious and Tartufo for dessert was a great treat. We had a wonderful time sharing this dinner with old and new friends.

The Wantagh is a favorite standby when you need a home cooked meal and you just don't feel like cooking. The staff is very pleasant and the manager Mary O is always ready to please. Owner Mike is a wonderful fellow who also aims to please. The Wantagh inn serves some of the best steak, pork and lamb chops around.... More

We visited the Wantagh Inn for an after theatre matinee dinner. We were 2 couples. I had the BBQ Baby Back Ribs. They were served with fries and cole slaw. The ribs were melt in your mouth delicious. It was a full rack and not a half rack that many restaurants serve. I couldn't finish and took a few ribs... More

This is one of your really old school pleasant dinner establishments. Not fancy, but clean crowded and great food. The atmosphere in the dining room beckons the old beach communities of Fire Island and Jones Beach, The large pub style bar area has high top seating and TVs for the sports appeal snacking. The menu is quite extensive with daily specials...
