Utica's original pizza parlor

I am told that true Utica Italian-Americans will buy pizza only from this place. It is different pizza inasmuch as it is fairly crispy, has cheese and tomato sauce reversed, and is rectangular. It is incredibly tasty. This isn't really a sit-down place.

They recently moved to South Utica, near my house, and I am thrilled. Everyone has their own taste in pizza and small things seem to make a big difference. This one "looks different" as the sauce is on top and it is rectangular. That being said, I love the crust, it is so delicious. I would rate this as one... More

Great pizza as only O'scugnizzos can do! Gotta love their style making a pizza in reverse! Wings were good too! Keep up the tradition!

My husband and I have gone to the original osp for years. The pizza was great when we first started eating there and is still great to this day. Love, love, love it. Wonderful staff work to make you feel welcome. You order and sit down and they deliver your order to you.

Great pizza, although many believe it to be upside down. Good dough, good sauce, good cheese and fresh toppings make for a great pizza! Convenient locations and friendly staff make this a hometown favorite that's been around for years. Try the upside down way!

I went to the one in North Utica. I usually go to the one on Broad St. when in town from California. It is a must do on my trip to Utica for an eggplant parmesan sandwich. My now deceased father used to take me there when I was a little girl, so there are memories in that sandwich. It... More

I first became accustomed to O'scugnizzo's pizza when I lived in Utica 35 years ago. After moving south, I was transferred to NYC in the early 1990's. During that time, my wife and I would often make road trips on Saturdays to Utica for their pizza. Although, we have been back in the south for many years, I have their... More

I like coal-fired Neapolitan pizza like they serve at Michele's in Naples. Charred on the bottom and gooey in the center. The stuff they serve here is thick focaccia with sauce over some melted cheese. It's worth going once just to read all the rave reviews. My theory is someone made the pizza wrong once and then claimed they meant... More

Self serve establishment. Great tasting rectangular shaped pizza. Dining room with a TV monitor to watch the Orange Men.
