Passing through town and stopped here by chance. It was friday and looking for fried haddock. Kids ordered a pizza. Funny looking with sauce on top. But great taste and crunchy. Chicken Parm panini excellent. Fish sandwich perfect. Best item was NE clam chowder. Just like Boston. Thanks Utica for a nice dinner.

We all think if pizza as dough with the basic cheese (mozzarella) topping plus add-ons of mushroom, sausage peppers, etc. However, this Italian pizza establishment takes the art of pizza making to a new art form. They incorporate the toppings within the pizza coupled with seasonings of your choice. The resulting pizza pie is truly one to be tasted along... More

Very unhappy I ordered pizza and wings the pizza is nothing more than warm tomato pie. My wings I ordered extra crispy and were in my option raw. It's like when u go to McDonald's and order a number 5 and get a number 4. It's pretty bad when the job requirements are that u can count to 8 not... More

This pizzeria has been in business close to 100 years. I had my first slice of pizza there close to 60 years ago and have enjoyed every slice since. My favorite is with sausage. They start with a solid layer of sausage,( not pieces, but a full layer), topped with slices of mozzarella, and then covered with sauce and grated... More

We went here for a late lunch. Picked the place because of TA reviews. Excellent choice! The men behind the counter were super nice and helpful. Turns out one of them has family in Ohio! The food was amazing!! Salad dressing was one we had never had and was spicy but delicious. And the pizza was to die for! The... More

This is a DARN good pie, and this is coming from a Chicagoan! Stopped here en route to Cooperstown from Syracuse and we were pleasantly surprised. The other reviewers are correct in that the pizza is quite unique. Fantastic find in Utica, your tummy will not be disappointed!

I grew up in Utica New York and have traveled around the world looking for great pizza but no other place can compare to the quality and great taste of the home made pizza from O'scugnizzo. Their pizza is unique and you will not ever be able to taste pizza like the ones made at O'scugnizzo. Even if you are... More

Been eating O's for 50 years and its remarkably consistent. The sausage and onions is my favorite and whether you like O's or Joe's better depends on your taste in sauce. Meat and toppings are placed beneath the sauce do everyone looks like a Margherita but the toppings are generous. Zero ambience. Get a takeout. Antipasti are good, too.

On it's sign on the roof of the restaurant, this pizza joint claims it has been "The King of Pizza since 1914." I don"t have any sense for what good pizza tasted like in the early 1900s, but by today's standards, this king lost his throne decades ago. Passing through Utica on the way to Buffalo, we targeted Joey's for... More

The pizza here is the best around. A really unique "upside down" pizza where the sauce is on top of the cheese and toppings. The crust is crist and they don't skimp on anything. Don't go expecting ambiance or great service, but the pizza is 2nd to none.
