We ate two of three dinners at Babe's during our stay in Utica. Its a fun sort of place, interesting decorations and very friendly staff. The food was very good too, they have Italian choices, BBQ, salads and sandwiches. A very good place to eat.

This is where you go for authentic Italian food. It's all about the sauce. If you like spicy, get the chicken riggies. You'll be hooked!

We were a party of 5 people who spent about $50-$60 at the bar waiting for a table to become available. After being seated we ordered more drinks, appetizers and lunches. The server was not friendly, spilled soup on a smart phone that was placed on the table and screwed up 2 of the 5 orders. The best part is,... More

We had buffalo calamari for an appetizer which was good. I had the eggplant Parmesan. The description should have been my clue, "thick eggplant" which essentially meant no flavor. It tasted like a piece of eggplant with marinara sauce poured over the top. The highlight was the side of spaghetti, which by the way is very good. The red and... More

The food is adequate to the task of eating. Be sure if ordering soup to get a description from the waitress. Some of their "soap" has a chili type consistency. We've ate there before so I guess that says something.

Ribs were so tender and delicious. Chicken Riggies had some vinegary peppers that I didn't care for in the dish (better on a sandwich), Minestrone soup was delicious. Waitress was so friendly! She made us feel so welcome!

The food was average; the service was average; the hostess was horrible. She walked right past me and my husband who were waiting to be seated, so that she could attend to three young men who had just walked in the door.

Service was great! Beer on tap was ok. Food was fantastic! On one side there was a typical sports bar but the other side was a nice family restaurant. The kids were happy, daddy was happy and that makes mommy happy!

Babe's is a burger joint/sports bar in North Utica that is walking distance to the train station, if you ever find yourself waiting on a late train. This is very casual, family friendly, but also rowdy sports fan friendly. The food is not fancy but it's Americana, burgers and fries, sandwiches and wraps and pasta dishes. There are at least... Often stop here when travelling back westward to home (Syracuse area)... Basic "bar and grill" food with good pastas... nothing fancy. But all dishes are well prepared, very tasty, and portions are generous without being overwhelming. The service is prompt and courteous, and the prices are very reasonable. Really nothing to complain about... Good, "solid" place... You'll get your money's... More
