Old fashioned Italian restaurant in old Italian area of the city. Has only street parking but good Authentic pasta dishes. Not a lot of tables so difficult to get a table on weekends.

If you're looking for comforting Italian food like Grandma used to make, Joey's in Utica is your place. Very very good ravioli, chicken parmigiana,, eggplant parmigiana. Excellent value- we were amazed at how reasonable the bill was for five dinners. Portions were huge. For larger groups, order family style and share dishes. Among the best restaurants in the region, low... More

Nice little spot, unpretentious. Good service, easy parking. Ordered special of the day, vegetable lasagna. What came was ricotta cheese in between lasagna noodles. I could see some vegetables, but couldn't taste them. Soaked in a tomato sauce. Usually it is a simple layer of thin noodles with tasty veggies that have been toosed in a light sauce. Veal stew... The food is excellent! Small, very casual dining area. Great service! Would highly recommend for a casual night out.

Wonderful food, generous portions. Fantastic prices! From the outside, you would never guess there is a great food inside. Place was not very big, but that was fine with us!

We were leaving Syracuse, headed to Albany, and we were looking for something to eat. It was my first trip to New York, and I hadn't had Italian food yet, so I felt I had cheated myself. As we were nearing Utica, I had my wife start looking for Italian restaurants, and Joey's came up as being highly rated. Now... More

Looked at trip advisor for a new place to try in the Utica area. It was my birthday dinner :-) Chose this restaurant and was soooo glad I did. I never would have eaten there had I driven by it first. It looked like a little hole in the wall, actually it was a little hole in the wall but... More

Sausage with stuffed Riggi... Portions so big I had to take half back to the room. If my grandmother was Italian I'm sure this is what she'd have made. Highly recommend finding this little gem hidden away on a side street. Delicacies

Just Outstanding! Try the "Chicken Alfredo" - FULL breast of chicken - yes, not strips, crumbles, or slices but a full breast - fettuccine noodles with true Alfredo sauce made with butter, cream, and cheese...Great! Also the "Red Clam sauce with Linguini!" The "Best" ever - very flavorful and plenty of it...Shabby quaint and family atmosphere....Loved it..
