In town for work

The food was absolutely wonderful. First time trying chicken riggies and they did not disappoint. Glad I stopped here and I will be back.

We have dinner here quite often. Food is great, portions are generous and the price is right. Nice little neighborhood restaurant.

This place has been here for over 30 years. Its Italian food is fantastic. A small hole in the wall you will be glad you stopped in. Has the local hats and greens- so ask what that is it is a local favorite. The ravioli is great as well as the calamari. The prices are very inexpensive and the food... More

First, thank you to my cousin Dawn. She has told me over and over about this place and I drove by today and thought, "Why not give it a try?". So glad I did. The place is small but inviting with checkered table clothes and a large bar. My mom and I went in for lunch and when we saw... More

I was a little concerned when we first pulled up because it looks like a place where people leaving restaurants get gunned down in gangster movies. But we went in and though it is fairly small, it immediately feels like a friendly neighborhood restaurant. Obviously we all had Italian including appetizers and everything that I tried was perfect. The server... More

This is in the heart of East Utica, on the corner of Mohawk and Lansing with the door set on the diagonal.. It is a family restaurant consisting of one room. Alcohol is available. It serves the original recipes w/o hot peppers to muck it up (my opinion). Chicken Riggies are available to those her do prefer the hotter stuff.... More

I had a great lunch on a road trip across NY state at Joeys Restaurant. My partner and I split an appetizer order of Italian Greens (escarole sautéed w/garlic procutto, topped w/breadcrumbs and grated cheese and baked) and loved them. My partner had mushroom stew on pasta with a rich reds sauce with lots of pork. I had broccoli and... More

Love the Italian food here, some of the best stuffed peppers I have ever had. Never been disappointed by the food.

No, it isn't fine dining, but this is truly old-school Italian fare the way your Grandma would have done it. Amazing! The place is fairly small and packed on the weekends with good reason. Everything just top-notch and puts several much more expensive restaurants to shame. No yuppy menu here, but fantastic Italian food and casual atmosphere. It is in... More
