The food was wonderful and the service was great! Make sure you get reservations because they are busy!

From the moment you walk in to the moment you walk out this is a spectacular restaurant. The staff is extremely friendly/knowledgeable. This gem has a small intimate feeling to it and at the same time you feel like you have been going there for years to eat. From the farm to table ingredients and locally sourced product the food... It is a real cute little place with very different food. We really enjoyed it! The chef is very creative putting together really tasty dishes! Not your everyday cuisine.

I thought this place was more hyped up than it really was. Granted the food was delicious and farm to table is wonderful, but I was hoping for more variety and a different ambiance (this place is super casual). If you love farm to table - definitely check it out!

Pleasantly surprised by this local gem in Trumansburg. Nice seasonal dishes, fantastic bread from a local bakery, and you can bring your own wine after a day visiting the local wineries. Highly recommend the duck breast and the slow-cooked pork shoulder.

Food was very good although they might want to keep it a bit less complicated. Service was coldly professional, the kind one would expect at a much better restaurant in, say, France. We had a long table and I asked for two baskets of bread but was told that "one is enough, you can pass it down the table." They... More

I felt welcome at this restaurant from the minute I walked in. The menu had so many wonderful choices. Everything I chose was flavorful and freshly prepared with local, seasonal ingredients. The staff was very attentive and answered my many questions. I had mentioned that it was my birthday, and my apple flan dessert arrived with a candle. It was... More

We decided to go there for my birthday since it had really good reviews and the menu items looked delicious. Instead, we were talked into the chefs tasting menu which was disappointing at the best of times and inedible at the worst. Instead of thinking about the whole meal, we were given dishes that did not work together at all.... More

I went to Hazelnut Kitchen with four friends. It is a great place to go for a night out if you are tired of the regular Ithaca restaurant scene. Trumansburg is about 25 minutes outside of Ithaca but the drive is worth it. The food is decidedly simple but the flavors are very satisfying. Something like a cheeseburger is elevated... More
